Final Fantasy III Coliseum - Make it happen!

Not sure if this has been tossed around yet, but would this not be awesome?

Not only could you wager "xxx boots" to get "xxx neck", but you could possibly
make it another way to upgrade weapons/gear. Don't want to farm all that Myth for
Atma > Animus? No problem, wager it here and fight 2-3 big baddies to upgrade
it. Obviously it would have to be worked out in some form, but I bet it's possible.

Whether you lose the item for losing or not, well, that would have to be tinkered with
somehow. You lose a pair of boots in FFIII and you can go buy more, it's a little
different with XIV of course. Losing an Atma weapon might be risky. Anyhow, just
think that if this was implemented right it could be incredibly epic!



If this has been brought up before, I apologize. The idea/thought just kinda hit me
out of nowhere today.

Dragon's Neck Coliseum would be an interesting thing. Most likely would be incorporated as a frontlines thing though.

I kinda would like the Ul'dahn Coliseum and Platinum Mirage to be used. Not sure why they had to go and make Wolves' Den and Gold Saucer when there were already two structures with similar description and purpose in the lore. Maybe make the Ul'dahn Coliseum for 1-on-1 PvP? You can see the arena from above, kinda sad nothing ever happens in it

Yea, regarding wolves den, why is that the place for PvP? The bloodsands in Ul'dah already existed since the beginning. For a lore standpoint, that would kind of make more sense for PvP to be.

But as far as the OP, I think I'd enjoy a Coliseum type battle of some kind. Whether it be against fellow players, or some "reigning champion" or beast of some kind, it would be a neat idea.

Most early localizations know it as FFIII, in fact, it was originally released in North America as FFIII.

Don't feel bad, it only later came to be known as FFVI in the West.
