More Themed Events/Gear

What does everyone else think about having more themed events or gear focused on previous installments?

Just want to clarify - NO, I am not asking for another Fate based event where Sin pops up and you have to help Tidus and Yuna kill it, but I do think it would be nice to have maybe casual references in future events.

Like friendly monsters from FF9, or an event tied to Knights of the Round where FF7 seasonal gear could be obtainable. Or maybe CT2 gear drops are modeled after character outfits, such as Monk gear based on FF8's Zell outfit.

Thoughts?

Well the tank gear in ct1 was based on the warrior of light from ff1, so secretly hoping every set in ct2 is iconic

You're coming across a bit thin skinned. He's just pointing out that he doesn't want FF cosplay but would prefer other themed sets (perhaps summer/hallowe'en themed etc) - or that's how I interpreted it anyway.

I really don't understand why people are so opposed to this kind of stuff. Every Final Fantasy makes references to previous games. If it will make people happy, why not do it? If you personally don't want the gear styled on previous instalments, then don't use it. I just don't see how it affects you what someone else is wearing.

P.S. If your response is the standard response of "I HAVE TO SEE THEM WEARING IT!" I think you need to get your priorities sorted if what somebody else is wearing in a game is getting to you that badly.

I like the cameos and crossovers from other games in the FF series. The more the merrier.
