Delete forum account

I've been writing back and forth with the support first about forum name change (because of security reasons - since I'm writing publicly I sure won't write why exactly current name causes security issues not to get insta hacked, but it really does), but the support brushed me off, so I wrote a request to delete this forum account entirely with all my posts & personal data on it.

I won't copy-paste whole ticket history, just the last request & reply:

Me:
"In that case - would you please delete my forum account & all my posts & personal info that is visible on forums? Of course DON'T touch my service account or my game account - those should remain as they are now.
The forum account wasn't created with my service/game accounts - I was forced to create it myself separately, so I should be able to remove it. I'm and EU citizen and I'm sure you're aware that operating on EU territory compels you to adhere to EU laws. I have no idea what rules are in JP or US in that matter, but EU dictates, that if at any point I want to remove my personal data from a company's database - I'm allowed to and it's up to the company to allow me to remove my personal information. If your system can't do that automatically, you should do it manually, but do it nonetheless.

So to summarise - please detach my forum account form my service/game account and remove said forum account and all personal information stored within this forum account (e-mail, user name, posts, etc). The service/game account should remain unharmed and active. Although my request is only exercising my current rights, I would be very grateful for your cooperation. Thank you!"

So ... I have no idea who is the moderator here or how do I contact one (I'm not that tech savvy) that's why I'm writing this thread. If it's indeed impossible to have my display forum name changed then I would request having the whole forum thing deleted.

Just like I wrote above: please detach my forum account form my service/game account and remove said forum account and all personal information stored within this forum account (e-mail, user name, posts, etc). The service/game account should remain unharmed and active.

How do I go by deleting my forum account because I made it different from my characters name so I cant post anything because it says my character isnt high enough. Please help thanks

@Cbreezy, you can switch to your main character and log in as that should change it.

Well I must admit getting a hold of a mod on here dose seem a bit tricky but you would have thought SE HQ would be able to do it. I can't say for sure not being a MOD myself but I wish you luck in getting your accounted sorted.

This has me curious, why do you want it deleted? I support that it should be possible, I just don't understand what the benefit is you're going for.

Thank you for your reply.

I already contacted Square Enix Support Center (several times) and they told me exactly what you are telling me - that they cannot assist me with my request.

Here is one of their replies (included in my opening post):

Support: "Please note that we do not offer support for the forums and that you should seek assistance from the forum moderators for this issue. Please contact us again should you have any further issues."

It seems neither moderators nor support can do anything...

I will contact support once again and paste them your reply, but I would also like that you help me with this issue. Please either find out - who really can detach & delete forum account and get me in touch with him/ her if possible. Also I'm sure that you as a moderator and an employee are much closer to administrators or whoever could solve this issue, and you could be vital in helping me in the long run. Right now, I'm just bounced between those two departments and told that everyone is unable to do this.

Like I said, I will contact support again, but I would be very grateful if you could also investigate this matter on my behalf.

Also I would like to point out that it's the forum name that causes security issues for me. Support said they are unable to change it (but they also told me they are unable to do anything in general), but if that was not the case, or in fact a moderator could change the forum name, then deleting this account wouldn't be necessary.

I'd be grateful for any additional support/ guidance coming from you.

Seems like standard bureaucracy. A and B both tell you to seek assistance from the other, and neither can help you.
It's possible that SE has no system set up to handle this situation, and the person with the power to handle it doesn't want the hassle.
Someone in the forum chain-of-command HAS to have the ability to delete users, or has the connections to people who can.

Anyone know if a forum ban would work for this guy? Does that cause account deletion? Maybe support could at least do that, I'm not real sure on what the goals are so I'm just guessing for something makeshift.
