Game Freezes When Screen Shakes

I posted a thread because it was an issue after character selection, but now I have found that its an issue through the game for me.

During ANY cutscene where the screen is supposed to shake (Arrow hitting carriage in Ul'dah intro, the golem summon at ruined temple in Central Thanalan, or all of Ifrit's cutscenes, are notable examples) the game just freezes. Audio continues to play in the background, but the game is completely frozen. Task manager is unable to kill the program and the only way to get the program to close is to reboot the entire computer.

I have updated my drivers for everything (I used Driver Fusion to find any un-updated drivers) and I've tried tweaking every in-game setting possible to fix the issue.

As an absolute last resort, I can re-install Windows. But I want to try anything else possible before resorting to that.

My build:

CPU: Intel i5-3330 @ 3.0 GHz
GPU: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 650Ti Boost (2GB GDDR5)
RAM: 8GB DDR3 @ 1300MHz
