The PVP experience

If this were true, then the PvP would not have been patched to enforce 1 ranged DPS and 1 melee DPS in any party. Tank + SMN/BLM + SMN/BLM + Healer was such a hilarious stomp comp in the early weeks of PvP that it was literally the first thing patched. Nobody had Purify back then, so the team which slept the whole other team won 100% so everyone brought 3 jobs which had sleep. This doesn't sound balanced to me, why does it sound balanced to you? The second patch was to take combat raise away from SMN, which was also hilariously broken.
I talked about this patch, 2.1 was unbalanced and they changed it.
High rank vs high rank is balanced
High rank vs low rank is unbalanced per se. Gear, skill and abilities mark the difference.



Um, fighting as a rank nothing against a rank Gurren Lagann means you lose 100% of the time is the definition of unbalanced. Gear weighting is crazy in this game, if you have the PvP gear and the other guy is in PvE gear it's like you're playing Dynasty Warriors. This is what absolutely killed Tera's PvP.

Wait, are you trying to me, who wasted 2 month to get rank 20+,don't get more damage, more hp and defenses vs low rank or pve?
Then, what the fuck i am doing...
The reason to earn seals and pvp exp is obtain pvp gear. If the pvp gear is useless, the farm will be irrational.

do you want a balanced combat? as i said go 30s - 40s bracket, the only diference between a low rank and high rank are the abilities. Do you want to remove it too?


Too bad I've been told by the experienced PvPers I know that I'm supposed to stay in 30 and 40 cap until I can get i90 PvP gear, how am I supposed to learn and progress in PvP if I don't even have many of my skills most of the time because I automatically lose in 50 as rank nothing PvPer so I have to stay in 30/40? What kind of progression is this supposed to be?

I repeat again, progression is a learning, skill and gear. I saw a BLM stay quiet trying to cast a fire III in a bracket 50s, he died, his team surrender after the healer died too. was the blm help full? No.
In a bracket 30s or 40s, if your team fail or you, is not decisive, unless your healer die too soon.

My pvp job is marauder, but i queue as whm in low level bracket. I have got 3 skills as whm(purify, attunement and equanimity). It's like i am rank 9. My victory rate is actually around 60-75%, the first battles i died fast and unreasonable. I was frustrated and i thought to give up. Then, i had to learn how i may move, how use the skills and the right moment.
In those first battle i didn't cast "surecast", "fluid aura", "repose" or "blizzard II" because i was a noob as whm in pvp.
Now, using that abilities, i can heal my party, bind and sleep enemies and bring the victory to my partners.

This example is a proggresion, you can learn more in a low lvl bracket than a 50s because in a 50 match you can found a healer has af1 ilvl 38 jewelry, he dies in the first stun.

In low level rank, you earn less mark and exp, but is a small price to learn pvp.
