    I've always felt that basing an end-game dungeon off of one of XI's popular leveling areas (valkurm dunes come to mind) would make for a nostalgic experience while still being totally new content. So long as the dungeons invoked the feel of the zone, it would come across nicely

    Rather than events and battles, I want to see ffxi armors transferred over. ARR is severely lacking in gear variety after you take out the material types imo and just categorize them based on models.

    Before people start disagreeing with me, ARR has taken alot of shortcuts on monster variety. There's too many monsters they straight up lifted from FFXI. There's the goblins, mamool jas, diabolos, turtles, pugils, CRABS, manticores, medusas, giants, dark dragons, puks, demons, uragnites, and many many more that hasnt crossed my mind as I type this. That's not even counting the monsters they also lifted from other FF games.

    I'm not sure if it's more work to rescale all the ffxi armor models to arr races (which are already similar in body types outside of the new races and genders) and replace the textures with higher quality version like they did with diabolos, compared to making completely new ones like the ARR team has been doing but they'll be mmo armors so they're not as iconic as say, cloud, lightning, tidus, tifa, squall, etc costumes so it should not be too out of place, right? They're still tabards, scale mails, harnesses, subligars, robes, plate mails etc.

    Shinryu from XI would fit lorewise with both games, like Shantotto. I don't AV would since he fits into sea jailers, and the entirety of sea is based off of Gods that don't exist in this universe. Let's be real though, we just need some Jaggedy-Eared Jack loving in XIV.

    Divine Might, Salvage, Dynamis, Sea, Sky, BCNM And KSNM, CoP, HNMs, Maat, epic battles in their own right, maybe if given variety of endgame things to do, instead of an ilvl treadmill, could enhance ffxiv gameplay as it did for FFXI.

    Yup, I remember when I was a newbie killing rabbits. Starting hitting one and I did hardly any damage but took a lot of it. It was finally then I noticed the name on it... Fun times.

    On the topic... I think I would have to say no.

    Since the skill/magic systems are different, I think a lot of people would be disappointed with the fights. Imagine fighting Suzaku and there is no chainspell. Or AV and there is.. well no 2 hour ability.

    An area that shows what REALLY can be done with open world like XI did would be awesome.

    I do NOT need a XI "skin" over it. I don't need crabs nor goblins as a visual bluff.

    What I want the world to feel is the depth and that can be done with the visuals and lore of XIV. It's the loving commitment and the depth XIV is missing. No shantotto minion can give xiv players that feeling.
