I'm sure there is a slight delay, but a lot of it has to do with your television as well. Most of the game sites out there use pretty low end TV's/Monitors with terrible refresh rates. This I don't know, because I heard the same thing and seeing on IGN they did it with the Wii U and Super Mario 3D World. Where they showed off the game on the TV and on the Gamepad. I think that there might be some lag, and I haven't tried it for anything but FFXIV, but I think there might be some trouble with a fighting game for example. If I end up getting another game for the PS4 I'll give that a shot as well.
When I press a button it feels instant on the TV for me with XIV, so it's possible that Microsoft did fix the lag in TV, that or the lag was a bug do to it being a new system, and their other updates have only improved the system performance.
I really wish I would have tested this with my Wii U while I still had it, but I traded that in for the PS4. :S
I personally play on PS4 but for this thread I'm going to go down the PC master race road cause what ever the xbox one can do (play game and skype that whole entertainment system) the PC could do already.
I'll see if I can't find out what mine is and post it as well. I know it's a Phillips 47" 1080P TV but I don't have the model number I'll see what I can dig up, it's been a while.![]()

Petition for Microsoft to allow XIV with cross system play:

Microsoft released drivers today that will allow XBone controllers to work on PC. Just FYI.
You can do that as of today I believe.. Don't have a link but I saw the headline on facebook.. Credible, I know xD
Lol...console gaming is no different than PC gaming. A console now a days is just an un-upgradable pc. That being said I buy most games on the PC, but I have consoles as well. It's about the games for me not the device I play them on. Although I will not buy a XB1 because of the anti-piracy bs. And for those that say, "Oh they turned all that off!" Well, all that can be reactivated with a flip of a switch. That and well the whole cross platform stuff ala the OP petition to get it on the XB. Look at Titan Fall. 3 different platforms, 360, XB1, and PC, but yet no cross play at all. To me there is just no excuse now a days for that. To me MS is blocking the advancement of online gaming with the isolationist ideals. That is just my humble opinion.
A relatively small portion of the FFXIV player base would even be in a position to play this game on the X1, and even the total number of players currently actively playing would be relatively small compared the the number of people using Xbox Live. Microsoft won't take notice of the petition because if they thought FFXIV was going to lose them significant sales, they would already have taken a look at their policies when FFXIV was first announced.
Its simply not going to happen. Argue among yourselves all you want, and perhaps even call me defeatist. Do what you will, but the reality is Microsoft won't do anything more to address this purely on a whim to please FFXIV players.

Microsoft can suck it anyway
I commend your effort with language!
There's not point to an MMO if you cannot play with everyone else. If you only have an Xbox1 and you want to play with your friends on PS4 then you're screwed unless Microsoft wises up and lets FFXIV play on SE servers instead of Microsoft servers. I prefer the SE way to the Xbox only club.
