    After playing the game yesterday, I must say I have a lot more fun with THM, but I cannot heal for crap. I only heal if someone gets dangerously low or the CON is going down.

    Also rezing people is fun. The down side being if you DON'T raise people, their armor takes a crapload of dmg now.

    Other than that, I like it.

    It does. But I'm trying my best to look at the wider Final Fantasy mage-world and see if Thaumaturge can ever fit in it ... and therefore I'm giving the Development Team the benefit of some doubt. Even if Conjurer is the key class for White Mage, Black Mage, and Red Mage there are still other mage classes that Thaumaturge can lead into.

    Scholar comes to mind first, as the Thaumaturge's expertise with both Light and Dark Magic as well as their introspective natures make this a very likely pairing.

    Blue Mage comes to mind next, as their ability to absorb enemies abilities through having them inflicted on themselves coincides very neatly with Thaumaturge's seemingly instinctive masochistic trait of hurting themselves to achieve some effect or another.

    And as you mentioned, Dark Knight is possible if Thaumaturge is allowed to be paired with a Marauder ... similar to how the Development Team hinted that Red Mage may be possible with a Conjurer paired with a Gladiator.

    So it's possible that the Development Team may be showing us what is in store for Conjurer and still holding back the key clues that point to the possible other mage Jobs for Thaumaturge.

    At least I hope so ...

    This. Especially for the 4 person dungeon. Is a thm EVER going to be wanted there over someone who can actually deal damage (not limited by MP) and take a hit? I highly doubt groups would be picking thm over a less limited DD/back up tank when they can only have 4 and they need a GLA and a CON.
