FC Has Same Tag As Mine on a Technicality. Why is this allowed?!

So in October I created an FC called Dark Aeons with the tag <AEONS>.

The tag match good with your FC name.

...an FC named Order of Bahamut was formed, and their tag was/still is <Aeons>. Why is this allowed?...

As long as the tag is completely unrelated to FC name, seems to me that they done that tag just to troll your FC


Edit: on secong tought, I recalled Bahamut is an Aeon, so that makes sense. But even if allowed, on create a new FC I think it is good practice make an unique tag. Maybe they were not even aware you exists.

There's a bunch of tags on Faerie that are variants of "kupo".

It's not enough. Every FC on Faerie should have some kind of kupo.

They should just remove tags... Have;

<Title A>
<Player Name>
<Title B>
<Full Free Company Name>

Better would be:

<Title A>
<FC icon> <Player Name>
<Title B>

I miss the icons from 1.0
It is much better to search for specific icons than for specific letters in a group of players. Or if we can at least give the FC tags a own color.

Tags aren't locked at all unfortunately. Be thankful there is at least a slight difference in yours, on my server another FC formed and copied my FC's tag exactly.

It's not always a bad thing. On Balmung, a lot of different FCs put the "RP" letters on their tag. It's a good way to recognize each other among roleplayers, even when belonging to different groups.

We're <Dark> and there's another FC with <DARK> = nobody has associated one to the other though, I think this is a moot point

Why yes....yes i know. Hence the wording of the OP.

I had two other FCs with the exact same tagname as name, so I changed it. Actually, our tag changes every week depending on my whim.

Indeed. I could change it, but the tag kind of goes perfectly with the name. And i was first (wish i could use a mad lalafell emoticon here lol).

Because in ascii or any other code language, upper & lower case are different values. The tags are not the same.
