A friend of mine had the same thing happen to him CK, this is his first MMO and just had to play GLD even after I warned him it was not the best choice for a first class. He ran his first dungeon before I got on and the group ripped him so hard because he didn't know how to hold aggro. They kicked him and he quit because it was not fun for him and he would rather not pay $15 a month for a game for people to rip into him for not knowing what to do. No one likes an Ethug

Yep! Exactly the same! Luckily for me I'm a semi-quick learner and love to read! I read and read and watched tutorial after tutorial. I'm not saying I'm a master Paladin, but now I'm comfortable enough in my roll to hold my own. It's that initial run in a dungeon. It seems that most don't communicate at the start. I would like to know what the group is doing in there, be it exploration, speed run, etc. I think that would go a long way to making a better run for noobs!

So i'm a newbie...
I play on ps4 as a Thaumaturge on the odin server...
So if you want to help me...i'll appreciate it

I see you are still pretty low level, if you want to reroll on Malboro ill be glad to run with you and help you out.

Too bad you are on a different server or you could run stuff with us and we could help you learn, our FC is always helping new people learn Coils, primal, Hm ETC.

any advice with caracter is the most easy to learn...warrior or mage...its all ok for me...i just want to learn how the game works and have a lot of fun.

Archer is actually one of the easiest to start with since they can move and attack. After that I would say Arcanist. They are very good to solo as. Then Thaumaturge.
If you are already used to MMOs and the role of a tank, then Gladiators are good too.

Lets start with your first class Thaumaturge. Basically you will be the DPS caster (Burst damage type) in game, your way of dealing damage effectively on lower level is to start with Fire spell which put you into Astral Fire state (Fire damage will increase at the cost of MP stops regenerating, Ice damage reduced).

When you run out of MP you will have to use Transpose to switch your Astral Fire with Umbral Ice (MP Regeneration increases, fire damage down).

When your MP is fully recharges, Transpose again into Astral Fire state and repeat. Thunder is not affected by either Fire/Ice state so use it during Umbral Ice as you will be using your MP to dish out fire during Astral.

For now, that's pretty much I can explain for Thaumaturge basics. I can tell you more if you by any chance found me in-game.

Nothing wrong with the title of newbie. It is a badge of honor for intelligent people. Newbie means that you are new to it all, but you want to learn and get better. Even to perfect you're path.

Now there are other renditions of the word such noob, used as a tag for those that don't want to do anything for themselves.. The ones that just choose to get carried through everything.

First one is great and proud to be. The second ones are just idiots.
