Static Groups

Found my static(and FC) all the way back in like the 2nd week after the 2.0 launched. They were looking for a tank for t2 and I happen to be online, still doing coil with 6 out of 7 of those guys now and we're working on T8. So I guess statics do work sometimes?

Been with the same raidleader, but the group members have changed multiple times, now the leader is the last original member of it, I permanently joined it early December.

Had a bit of a problem with mine and left them. Eventually they either stopped playing or transferred to other servers. I just play with friends now and not making any real progress in ex or coil.

i am looking for an static for saterday evenings and day or night sunday's i am willing to move to another server if needed i am currently on hyperion i am a legacy player so unless they allowed us to move to non legacy till i am stuck to legacy server's

I don't know what the trend is in this game, I never saw something like this in 11. But anyways, the trend goes like this:

1. Player A tells the leader "Player B and C aren't up to my standards, you need to kick them or I leave" Leader refuses, and Player A leaves. Again to find a new member...
2. Player Y decides to commit to the new static, before next event day comes, he tells the leader "Sorry I can't make it due to getting a new job/excuses that seem legit" and then you find them the next day... online and doing coil with PF groups... at the times they said they would be at work. Again to find new member...
3. Player F decides to join the static A and is all yay and stuff, being all sociable to them right. Then the next say she's like "Oh sorry, I heard you guys are having problems with this Turn etc etc, I'm going to have to join static B sorry". Said static ditches her in the end, then she comes back to static A asking for a spot and apologizing and leader is like "Nope". At this point I believed in karma. Again to find new member...

In the end, Static A managed to take down those turns that couldn't at first because it obviously takes time (duh?) and is on Turn 8 now. If people hadn't bailed so much static A would've been farther than that, but people are impatient, greedy and selfish. I can understand personal, real life issues, but when you use them to lie about it then that's not nice.

All this based on a true story. :P

I think the way coil is designed brings out the worst in people... it's kinda scary, actually. >_> I don't remember having this kind of stuff in 11, statics there only drama was ninja-lotting or fighting over items, but at least you didn't have to find a new person every 2 days. XD And people actually committed, even if they were kinda jerks. I guess it was because reputation in each server was worth a damn unlike here...

2.0 - I used to run with my static/FC
They started to OoCly stress me, left the FC/Static.
For the next 6+ months, I went from static to static. Cleared t5 in a static, that replaced me a month later once we had the content down because 'sorry, we give preference to FC members (Load of bull and they can go **** themselves.)
Left another static because of a disagreement in armor choices. I didn't care enough about BiS and it was a -huge- disagreement.
Currently with my current static. We're on T9 now.

Still in the same static, though some members have quit or gone mia and we have some new faces in the group. But we share the same principles, have no problems with loot distribution, lots of wtf and laughs during raids. I'd like to think we get along pretty well.. and while we're not uber hardcore and still at t6.. we're getting there, little by little. Wouldn't have it any other way, really.

And uh.. the whole lot of us and some adopted subs moved out of our previous fc to transfer to tonberry. So uh, yea I wouldn't say there wasn't any drama.. but we're still standing strong and still together.

- No, don't have a static at the moment
- Not really, just people leaving the game
- 4 that I would consider actual statics, 1 that was a single trial run where I bailed on the group as fast as I could, basically because they were completely obnoxious.

Not really actively seeking one at the moment, don't need the stress, and don't particularly want to dedicate the time to coil2.

Been in the same static / FC since mid September. We've had to replace our fair share of players when we hit T5 back in November because they weren't up to the challenge of putting in time to learn the encounter. Only 3 of our founding members are left but we've made sure not to repeat the same mistakes over again when it comes to recruiting. Our team is very tight knit, and we have loot worked out with each other to make sure no drama ever happens. Tons of laughs are shared during raids and the raid environment is pretty casual but we put in time like hardcore players (7 days a week). Currently working on T9 after a rough start at the beginning of 2.2 (3 weeks of no raiding thanks to losing a bard and scholar).
