SMN AOE and other micro management questions

Do you use Garuda's third skill (arial slash) in your AOE rotation?
Do you have Garuda's second skill (shockwave) on your hotbar for Stun?
Do you use a macro that contains all 3 summon's skills for one tier? (ex: 3 macros, one containing: mountain buster, burning strikes, shock wave. All the skills you can activate obey with)

1) I personally use Aerial Slash any time I need a bit of AoE or when I'm hard-casting shadow flare

2) I've never used that one.. Having both high level tank and melee dps I know how annoying it is to have the target randomly repositioned. Though I don't see the harm if the target resists knockback.

3) I use zero macros on Summoner. That doesn't really sound like a bad idea though, since I use a controller the space is very limited and that would be a somewhat reasonable thing to use if I micro managed all pets. I mainly just use garuda, if I have to use titan for solo content I just leave him on sic.

Yes if there's 3 or more targets in range. But I don't have it on my hotbars, i just click it from the pet one.

In terms of pets:

Titan and Ifrit and Selene work best on Sic.
Garuda and Eos work best on Obey.

If I find the opportunity to use Garuda's AoE I'll do so. It would probably be easiest to macro it to something like Shadowflare. Shockwave is good in FATES and solo content but then why wouldn't you be using Titan or Ifrit? Both are better for that stuff.

I have my Garuda's AoE macroed to my Bane, then I Rouse, Spur and RS bound to another macro to conserve hot bar space. Those are the only macros I use for SMN without totally gimping the job

Shockwave is pretty bad (unless you're doing 6 SMN 2 SCH Levi Ex) and I never use it at all, so aside from the occasional Enkindle, I'm not ordering my Egi to do much else

1. As long as there are 2 or more target, If you can, use Aerial Slash

2. That skill is not stun, its knock back skill, useful when you want to interrupt mobs casting example Leviathan EX, you see mobs casting Fear skill, you can use Garuda's knock back to interrupt it, However, not all mobs/boss in this game will have mechanic like that and most will resist knock back effects

The second, third and fourth skills available beyond the base/default attack. so instead of having a cross bar spot for 3 different sets of 3 skills, i have just 3 macros that trigger differently based on what pet is out.

Selene rotates through Fey Glow and Fey Light perfectly on sic. Not having to micromanage those buffs takes a significant amount of pressure off of you as a healer, especially during healing intensive fights.

She does Silence but 99% of the time it's useless. She tosses it out whenever a mob starts casting and frequently it does nothing (mob is resistant, skill can't be silenced, etc.) However, there's still almost zero reason to manually control the skill unless your raid group lacks any combination of BRDs, MNKs and PLDs.
