    Isn't "version update" supposed to be "patch" instead?

    I read the latest info on the Lodestone main site, and it reads "Regarding Replacement of Retainers after Version Update". I thought "Patch" was the new name for Version Update, unless SE plans on going back to the term Version Update after all the necessary fixes are done.

    i like version update better, make it sound big. Patch sounds small and trivial, like this thread, lol.

    1.18 to me sounds like a big patch so this one my subligar says OK to using the term 'update'

    It's a cultural difference I think. In Japan it is considered a Version Update, but in English it is a patch. I think they just translated it word for word rather than subbing in "Patch".
