Yeah it seems like a good idea, but I think there will be more trolls coming from it than honest people wanting to change their name to fit within the lore. Blacklisting is not an option for me, I only have room for RMT spammers on there. Lol. I usually just be sure to take a mental picture of the bad players on my server. So name recognition is big for me. If these players were able to change their name and continue to be d-bags because they can continuely change their name would be very frustrating to me.

I would like the option as well. If time has proven anything about the FF community, it's that it's impossible to escape a bad reputation. I don't think there is an XI player alive who doesn't know who Feiwong is and that guy was all over the place. Somehow, the community always tracked him down.

An easy to acquire name change would be a night mare for RMT tracking and black listing terrible people that deserve to be known. This is the internet policing that has been around in the communities for years. To make name changes so simple and easy with no regards to a limit I can understand why it would be unwanted.

I have been waiting for this too and asking nearly everyday. They said MONTHS ago they would give us namingway name change cards/options...still waiting for when this is happening.

Does not make sense to be able to change your race/gender but not name. So if I am a female lalafell named Princess Peach and I change to a male miqote...that is not going to work too well lol.

If you make it cost money its a non-issue, it would cut too deeply into RMT's balance sheets to make it worth while.

I direct you to my earlier post. They would remain in your blacklist under the new name unless the used the current method of server jumping.
