So whats the trick to getting a good group of peaple to do titan ex with?

I've been practicing tex for alittle over a week. The groups I've been in I always seem to be one of the last ones alive. About 1/10 groups I've had we took the whole 90 minutes, but always got the heart phase done, but OT was always dead at that point. I havn't gotten to see post heart phase yet, just the very start of it.

I know I can get to heart phase and past that easily myself, but these other people, it just isn't happening.

I finally decided to join a PF group that said "Kill Group" Know all phases". That group couldn't even get passed the 2nd geo crush, after 3 atemps and it broke up. Healers kept dying first. So aperently can't trust PF either. Any tips on getting past tex?

I'm gona try a group myself saying "please know up to heart phase" and see how that goes next...

Well, in pf you have to specify several things, first, you have to check that they have beaten Titan by checking to see if they have ifrit unlocked, second, specify that if they are lagging, to not join the party (lagging seems to be a wide-spread excuse as to why they can't get out of 'weight if the land' attack or landslides. Third, have a 3 strikes rule, where if they keep dying, you'll replace them. Titan Ex is hard, and so should you on getting a good group. >___________> of course, is all luck too, I've beaten titan ex with duty finder groups, it all depends on the people you get.

You could add as friends and create a LS for those players who you think are particularly good. Me and my FC mates did something like that and we were also invited to a similar LS. Unfortunately, Titan Ex is very hard and usually there aren't so many players willing to fight it, so the majority of groups is made up of first timers of people who know the fight but haven't actually tried it.

It's just a matter of patience and social skills ... maybe!

Joking aside, your best try is to create a group/LS for it, recruit people, look for the most capable. When you have 8 great fighters ready to kill, practice all together for as long as it takes to get it done.

I took me about 1 months to find the perfect group and here is what I found, I followed a simple rule of thumb and got it done eventually

Rule : If you join a DF or PF party, if that party cannot go post heart phase on the 2 first attempts, this party will NOT clear it, so don't lose your timea and find or form another group.

I also wrote down the name of every member I found competent and skillfull (in PF because same server) and made them my friend, so every time I wanted to try Tex, i would ask em if they would do it with me so I can trust these people, at one time, i Had like 10 names

I could add a second rule : if they can go post heart, but fail to win after 3 strikes (not from human mistake, but rather from landslide/regular plumes/regular bombs) post heart, quit the group, go sightseeing in Eorzea for 10-15 mins to chill out, then try again.

In DF : If they can't do a full post heart rotation at least once in said 3 strikes, they won't beat it

OP: a week is nothing, just make friends with people who know what they're doing from the PF you do and make a group with them.

Is common sense that if he wants to beat titan, he needs people that have gone through the fire before, not first timers because, it'll never happen with new people to the fight.

What about those that were first to beat the fight? Do they need someone that has gone through the fight before to play with them? No. It's common sense that if he wants to beat titan, he needs people with the skills and/or tenacity to beat it, not people that have beaten it before. The first time I beat Moogle EX (not Titan EX cause it was so long ago I don't remember), all 8 of us got the achievement.

Honestly, the easiest way is to join a FC or LS with competent, skilled players. I was lucky and the FC of one of my friends in a LS needed a healer, theirs went on vacation for a week. So for a week I was subbing in for them, and we downed all three Ex primals within a week or two if when it came out, and they even took me through Coils 1-5 which I had never done before. I've since joined their FC and any time I need to down an Ex primal we can usually find enough people on in our FC to down them.

HE wants to beat TITAN, and HE wants good people to beat Titan with him, and since only noobs would join if he doesn't specify that, he CAN and should specify that they need to have beaten titan before (even though he hasn't himself) OR noobs will join hoping for a carry. Is common sense that if he wants to beat titan, he needs people that have gone through the fire before, not first timers because, it'll never happen with new people to the fight.

I think the point Lemon8or was trying to make is that the OP can't check to see if people have Ifrit EX unlocked because the OP himself doesn't have Ifrit EX unlocked. You can put requirements in the description all you want, doesn't mean anything if you can't enforce them.

I'm having the same issue. Party after party fails, whether it be PF or DF. I'm getting very frustrated at this point that I can't do the other more fun primals because of this bullshit fight.
