Tanks and Healers: Check your privileges

If you're terribly under geared, rude, or unable to follow/listen to direction then I have 0 problems leaving, but as the tank I will instead ask the other members of the group to vote to kick a bad player so that they don't get screwed over and wait 45 minutes for another instance.

I have never withdrawn from a roulette dungeon for any reason other than another player being bad (as in not listening to advice) or just plain mean. Even when I get Aurum Vale in roulette I'll stick with it for the sake of the party.

Honestly, I like the dungeons. Even if I get one that I hate(Copperbell Mine Hard Mode), I stick with it. I'm a healer and there might be that one person who REALLY needs it. I've had many who withdraw even on Lost City of Ampador and thats, like, my favorite dungoen of all.

I never ditch a dungeon unless we've lost members we can't recoup or we've run low on time. Having played as the trinity (Heal, DPS, Tank) I know how hard it can be to queue for dungeons and I fully empathise with anyone who's been stuck in that queue for ages. In fact, I actually levelled Paladin due to there being a distinct lack of tanks as I was levelling Black Mage. I now use it almost exclusively in dungeons for the ease of finding a party.

I've met more than a few 'entitled' tanks and healers alike and I'll do my absolute best to avoid trying to become one. They're no fun to be around, and I'm far too easy going to be carrying a stick up my bottom

Check your privileges, ok we get fast queues. But we also have to deal with, It's all your fault when something goes wrong.


I've only ever been the 1st to leave once and that was when something came up IRL and I had to go.

I never quit my low level roulette, even after I get Tam Tera Deepcroft for the billionth time in a row. Should just make people lose their roulette if they drop out before a certain time-frame. And even then, the pre-Brayflox dungeons are so faceroll that when people ragequit those, I lol.

Sometimes it IS your fault. That quote being thrown around that if the tank dies it's the healer's fault is only true if the tank was pulling appropriately to begin with. You can't treat every run like a brayflox speed run. Last week I was in a party where we kicked the tank because he was abusive after he pulled wayyyyy more than the party (and he) could handle. We didn't mind working harder, but the guy was abusive citing the very sentiment in this thread: "I am a tank, I am more important than you, if you don't play my way I will drop and get instaqueue while you suffer, etc etc etc".

We booted him. This attitude is incredibly toxic and shouldn't exist.

I agree in that case I am 100% on your side. I play PLD/RNG/WHM(48) but this isn't what I'm talking about.

If people are being tools kick them, No need for them to bring down your expirice. But I'm talking about a normal trash pull and someone end up pulling a few extra mobs or this or that. And things going sideways. There is a thread about if you play TANK don't have tunnel vision. While I do agree with that. If someone agros mobs and you don't see it because they are behind your point of view. It your fault that they agro and someone died.


Or it can be . O it's a game lets have fun who cares if it takes an extra 5 mins to run a dungeon.


I see as many DPS get upset when I don't speed run when I can.
