I want it to go something like
Archer ->
Musketeer -> Ranger -> Gunmaster
Samurai -> Ninja
/
Pugilist -> Monk

i think archer would have the ranger option rather than musketeer... that would have corsair or something
FFXIV FORUMS = CRYINGCRAFT
Some of those changes are quite the difference in term of prowess..
Archer > Ranger makes sense, while Musketeer > "Gunmaster" makes sense, Samurai =/= Ninja however.
Musketeer is pretty much its own class so it wouldn't be a job offshoot of Archer. While that was a pretty awesome movie, stuff like that would be ridiculous to try to pull off with our battle system. There really aren't many group fights and even then you wouldn't want a squishier ranged class to walk into the middle of a group of enemies and start DPSing away, especially if they've got AoE attacks. It would be particularly hilarious to watch on Haughtpox lol
They don't have to be exactly that flashy, that would make the other jobs look like crap lol. They can just make it look like they are shooting two guns martial arts style, including bashing the mob in the head with it.
What the hell is this samurai into ninja nonsense?
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
I still wonder if Musketeer gonna be a class or a job.
Ugh, the spacing came out wrong, I was gonna make it so Samurai branches off Monk and Archer. Meh, not gonna bother editing it just to mess with people's heads.
Yoshida made mention that Jobs won't have guilds, Musketeer already has a guild.
