I'm using Shield lob twice before I start my RoH combo. usually as soon as I land 2nd part combo, I will be ahead of everyone on the agro list.
also, the timing for dread is different for each group, (especially during 2nd phase, with Brain jack). in our group we put 3 people in Dread tower and he will pop when Brain jack has 3-5 sec left. I usually grab the hate after brain jack ware off.
also you can skip the 3rd dread if you push the boss below 45-46% before the 3rd Dread tower is up.

So as a Paladin, I noticed a few things. Shield Swipe is a horrible aggro tool but it is great to mix in to add additional dps for free. I am constantly watching my threat bars and if I don't do a two RoH combo's at the beginning and sub in shield swipes the dps creeps up really fast. There is a certain point where I become untouchable and can shield swipe all day long but we have to get there first. If he is incorporating this too early then yes he would have issues.

Yea it would be a much more viable aggro tool if it was off the GCD. I usually dedicate the first minute to simply solidify my hate. By that time it'd be real pressed if anyone was really able to catch up at that point. I also hate how many of the endgame boss battles are immune to the few debuffs we have like pacification. I know It'd ruin SE's idea of scripted mechanics but I think it'd make fights more interesting. Off topic though.

Yea but with a static like his yours and mine it become much easier to notice, especially if members are consistent. One of those benefits of a static always mentioned, you know what you're gonna get out of your group, and it becomes that much easier to adjust.

They probably don't want to risk letting pacify work cause they must have tried something with bone dragon and failed lol. Has that been fixed yet?

And I've noticed some dps just cut loose from the get go and forget the tank needs to hit first :/

Not sure if worth mentioning, but when it comes to picking up immediate hate on enemies either dreadnaught from Turn 8 or adds from Turn 7, I try to initiate with preloaded Savage Blade over preloaded RoH, or if ranged pull seems to be the only option, Provoke + Shield Lob into Circle of Scorn or SoW whichever is up at the time + flash and then start the usual threat combo.

The reason being is that although RoH has higher threat modifiers, there's an animation delay vs that of Savage Blade which is almost instantaneous. During that period of RoH going off can mean your mob turning around to smack someone in the face or running off to the healer only to come right back to you, which can mean loss of dps time, especially for your melee.

The same applies to ranged pulls. Provoke seems more instant than say Shield Lob. I'm not sure why it works that way, but it has worked well for me in gaining hate and keeping things in place while dps can just go ham from the getgo.

Some insight on Shield Swipe: It's not for aggro, and it's barely for the Pacification. It's a GCD skill with a cost of 40 TP. In that same span of time, you'll regenerate 60 TP. Shield Swipe works best as a TP management tool. It's something you start using at every proc only when you have a solid hate lead and you'll stand a far lesser chance of running dry on TP in a longer fight. Remember that you can use two skills between hits of the Halone Combo, if swipe is proccing that often
