I'm an ilvl 96 blm, and yep sometimes when I do thunder 2, fire 3, fire 2, all the mobs turn to yellow status and I have to slow down my dps and wait abit before I cast again. It really depends on the tank, warriors I don't have much trouble AOEing again, but pld's I hafta be carefull. At that point I just single target for the most part. Expecailly when I get a tank with just over 5k hp.... better be carefull with those for sure.

I have my enemy list towerd center of screen so I can watch that agro very carefully.

I just got into the habit of aoeing mobs 3 or more, since most tanks I get paired up with wanna SR, so just got into that bad habit. Very rarely get normal runs anymore, guss tanks love me

Even with tanks geared at 90-95ish I'll still pull off them with my BLM. Usually if that happens ill just cast blizzard iii and wait untitl I go down to about 4-5 on the enmity list and then just go all out. But even then, most of the time, I'll still go back up to 2 and sometimes I'll even begin to pull.

I'm pretty sure it's because of all the procs I get along with raging strikes. But yeah. It really is hard to control my aggro if I get tunnel vision or can't just sit there and watch it (Levi, Twin, etc...)

As a BLM? Not really as long as the tank is doing their rotation properly it ain't hard for me to target them then their target and start off with Fire 3/Thunder I-III giving them enough time to gain aggro for single or aoe.

If there's a big gap between our ilvls I'd rather just change to another dps job unless the damage is really needed and I just have to try and not pull hate by either doing quelling strikes or gimping my damage by allowing time to pass between casts.

Like I said, stop assuming I use it on the regular. I only use it IF I grab aggro, which is a rarity. Need to get your panties out of a bunch or learn to read.

No, not at all unless you're not paying attention. There's two trackers that give us visual feedback of where we're at on Emnity levels. One is a numbered list, the other gives us an idea of if we're moving up or down on that list. If you keep an eye on those two trackers, it's stupidly easy to manage our aggro. Anyone who does either doesn't know about them, isn't paying attention to them, or just generally doesn't care.

Yup. The Party window will have little bars on the left by your name. It will also have a number listing your position on the Emnity list that goes A through however many players you have in your Party. 'A' is at the top of the list. It's super, super simple to understand and follow once you know it's there.
