Using auto attacks instead of using weaponskill. Says knows how to BRD.Not really. I never use quelling strikes and never steal aggro in level appropriate dungeons. It's all about timing auto attacks between abilities. When helping with lower dungeons, though, it seems because my gear level is so significantly higher than the tank, my aggro builds up faster, but if I auto attack for a few seconds, it usually counteracts that. Just assume if someone is higher geared than you, you'll probably have to work to keep that aggro (assuming they don't know how to control it.) You can usually get a feel right away.

He's saying that if he still gets hate from tanks he will back off from weaponskills for a bit and let tank catch up with enmity. It's not that hard to understand. He's by far smarter than those DPSs who after getting hate from tank will keep bashing with their combos without doing minimal effort to lose the mob's attention. Like those lovely bards who start running in circles, jumping and shooting and forcing the tank to chase them around like an headless chicken.

On trash mobs you may as well just stand next to the tank until they're reclaimed the mob's attention. If you're not going to die and the healer isn't stressed because of it, it's no big deal. He's saying that if he still gets hate from tanks he will back off from weaponskills for a bit and let tank catch up with enmity. Bosses are normally a different story.
In any case you shouldn't really have threat issues with Quelling Strikes active though.
