Dem tank probz.
Dem tank probz.
That all depends. There has been multiple occasions where I'll quell the start [Use boss for example] and 5-10 after it falls I'll rip threat off tanks again. Usually the first time it happens I'll just cut out my rotation to auto attacks or standing there till they get threat again.
Just do your primary Threat rotation and set markers for kill order. Smart DPS will listen. ]=

that and the fact that there are players that don't give a damn, I know people that would actually TRY to steal hate from tanks, which is probably another topic... but one thing I would suggest is if you know you're out geared by the DPS in your pty, just kindly highlight that point and let them know to just wait a couple seconds before attacking, in my experience most groups won't have a problem with that ...

Bard and BLM have really good spike damage/aggro. So you'll have to make the most of your tool as much as they have to.
If they are doing AOE then you'll be stuck Flashing quite a bit. Try to split up your RoH Combo over a couple mobs as Savage Blade generates decent Enmity as well.
For Spike Enmity I usually FoF, Shield Lob, run into the position where the mobs will group, SoC and Flash, Spirits, Flash and then rotate RoH with priority on mobs close to eating a DD.
I pull hate off most tanks as a BLM even with Quelling Strikes. Even 10 ilvls make a difference.

can be gear but also i would say how good the tank is.
I have already got agro from tanks that had better gear then I, and yes i let them build agro and yes i use Quelling Strikes.
Ct is actually very bad for this now. Granted perhaps tanks that go there are perhaps not geared that great but agro is for sure issues.
As for Brayflox HM, yeah we do big pulls and i do triple flares but never has been a major issue there
It could be that they are a high ilvl than you. I had this issue in CT, where Im ilvl 87 bard and the tank was some where lower than me (anywhere from 70-80) and I ended up stealing one of the bosses/adds from him. The worse case so far was me stealing bone dragon during the hollow eye phase...>,> others, I just steal an add (valefor, diva in atamos boss, iron giant, ect).
Yes, yes, I know that that is really bad. I usually just stop DPSing or focus on something else when that happens...>,>
I learned early on that if you aren't as geared as your DPS you will lose aggro as a tank. As a BLM my tank almost never has issues keeping aggro no matter what I throw at him. I recommend getting your relic (90 weapon) which should help you keep hateI got a iLevel 72 PLD using a Mog sword, iLevel75. It seems if I ever take my eyes off one mob to establish aggro on another, the bard or blm inevitably take it way, assuming they didn't take it away to start grabbing stuff before I even get started.
I am using shield oath, flash, and doing the ROH rotation. I provoke, shield lob, and then the ROH rotation to get that one back, and I lose another, and now provoke is on cool down. What gives?
BTW, this seems to happen the most with bards and BLMS. I don't seem run into this as much with the healers, SMN or melee DPS.
Well by the time you are geared up, you won't need really need it. So want do you do when you are gearing up?
It depends on many things, if the BLM/BRD hit before the tank it can be a problem for the tank but most of the time as a DPS i see bad tanks, not very bad, but bad enough to force me to slow down my damages, especially PLD since their flash is less strong than Overpower. A lot of tanks don't understand that spamming flash, especially with BLM and BRD is very effective, even at the beginning of 2.0 with my PLD ilvl 50 i managed to hold hate easily against ilvl 70 with ilvl 90 weapons.
Just wanted to say that it's not always the DPS fault sometimes it's the tank's.
