Why does everyone blame the tank?

To be honest I don't care at all what people with no experience have to say in those low level dungeons. I was leveling my WHM when I was in brayflox normal mode and I healed the tank Dr Doctor I remember his name and I got aggro of all targets. I asked nicely to work more with flash since he was a paladin and he told me to check my rotation?

I explained to him that I only was casting 2 normal cure and I got aggro but he insisted it was my fault.
Remember that we have ALL kind of players in this game so you have to deal with that.

We had another group in which the DPS (monk) was marking targets and not letting the tank get aggro or pull, he just told the tank that he was the DPS and he is the one who should be marking and the tank SHOULD take the aggro from him.

Adlo won't help the tank, and I'm not going to keep throwing out a 90mp cure across everyone.

Done this fight 3 times now as sch, and the stupid part is that I don't have a way to cure poison other than a 1min cd antidote.

I just unlocked sch like 3 days ago, honestly the fight wouldn't be as difficult as it is since I do have parts in the fight where I can sneak something in, i'd like that to be something like leeches, but nope, still don't have that at lvl 36.

The poison stacks at least up to 4 stacks, and the dragon either spreads the stacks out or focuses on one dps, the tank gets stacking poison as after so many bites or something, I think the breath will poison him too. I basically have to antidote someone at 3 stacks, and with a 1 min cd, dps are out, its either gonna be me or the tank, and even my fairy gets stacking poison too.

Also, yes I can confirm bots, I was in another party today with one, tank auto attacked a single target, no flashes and wouldn't chase after other targets we talked about him the whole time and he didn't say anything to us. He was in tamtara appropriate gear for tamtara, and he rolled greed on a pld shld. The tank was a pld.

I've seen one in toto as well as somewhere else. We saw the one in toto die and instantly respawn at our location :/

The worst problem is the 2 dps in tamtara didn't want to kick him because "tanks and healers never join in progress".

A lot of the time, it's hard to blame one single person. I will say I've caused very little amount of wipes though, just like I'm sure there are many healers/DPS who can say the say thing. Why? Research.

It's a very big, very open MMO title. I read up on dungeons before I go in there so I know what to expect etc. The same way I know where to aim next for my equipment upgrade. I don't understand how any player thinks they can wander into an MMO and know nothing about what they're doing and do no research.

Worse, when you do have suggestions, people can be so abusive. I got called a c*nt in a group the other day for saying 'What's causing the wipe? Is it a case of low DPS?', met with an abusive response from a black mage. Vote to kick, and it was a unanimous decision. So general people skills also help.

I'm finding now I'm at endgame and doing harder dungeons, I'm suffering the misfortune of playing with these kinds of people much less than when I wasn't at level cap.

You can tell by the way they run around in the dungeon too. They don't actually follow anyone if they are lost, the one in totorak got turned around cause of how maze like that place is, and had an obvious client hack since it died and didn't respawn at the start of the dungeon.

I have yet to see a healer that acts this way, but with the gil sellers promising fast leveling, its pretty bad when you get one. I doubt you'll see any in post 50 dungeons, unless the gil sellers start promising fast myth grinds :/

The latest one i had in tam tara didn't ever even wait for us, he would pass the boss line and run straight up to the priests. It was too mindless for even a bad tank.

Even bad tanks will talk to you if you say something to them, or they will respond by at least changing tactics.

I've done Brayflox countless times since 2.0 and I've never had to use an antidote. The one that cures paralysis, whatever it's called, that one is helpful sometimes. But I've never had a bother with poison.

Now if we're talking about derps that stand in poisons, or tanks that can't avoid the breathe, that's a whole other issue and in those situations, white mages have an even worse issue on their hands. For one, they run out of MP much more quickly than they can spam Esuna. At least we have our little unlimited regen-ing device in a fairy.

Try the run several more times, make generous use of Adlo, energy drain and aetherflow. They work wonders.
