    Turn 5 Coil: Need Advice

I know that this is a silly question considering most of you guys are probably on turn 9 or way past turn 5. I waited a long time to finally start doing coil runs and I finally made it to turn 5. The party that I am in we have completed turn 1-4 without the buff. We are trying to do turn 5 without the buff. Any advice on how to get pass the dive-bomb phase. We have watched youtube videos but to no avail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance. Please no negative comments.

For the dive bombs themselves, the timing to dodge is when you see the green thing or hear the sound start to move. They don't always sync up for people on PS. Start to move on the first indicator. I find that to be a huge problem when people wait for a specific indicator.

Thanks for the tips. We tried doing it the way some groups have done it in the youtube videos but it was a failure. Then my group tried again using the same youtube method but I did it the way another way and I survived but everyone died using that corner method and I had to wipe. That is probably the problem as well considering a big majority of us are playing on ps4 and not pc.

When my group first started doing divebombs, we made the mistake of not realizing that you REALLY need to be right up against the wall for divebombs to trigger properly. Basically, you want to be so close to the killwall that Twintania faces toward the OUTSIDE of the arena when she comes down to divebomb. If the target for divebomb is too far away from the killwall, she will face inward from the outside and hit most people (you can see which direction she is facing if you are zoomed far out enough). Be careful not to actually get yourself killed by the wall, though! I like to back in slowly to the wall so that I am as close as possible. When dodging divebombs, if everyone is in the right position, you don't have to run very far... just to the top of the hill and back again.

Another little tip: when you are doing the first set of divebombs, you will probably hear AND see the icon. You should move as soon as that happens. When you are dodging the second set of divebombs, you might not hear it (because of all the noise going on while the snakes are being killed), so you REALLY need to watch for the icon. After a while, you will get used to the timing.

Anyway, no one should leave negative comments for you. You are asking honest questions and plenty of groups have struggled with divebombs. I do not think you should be having issues due to people being on PS4... my first group beat it with several PS3 players, in fact. As long as none of you are lagging, you will be ok.

If anyone in your group is having trouble seeing the icon or hearing the sound effect, try putting Twintania on focus target. I'm not sure how to do it on PS4, but I know it's possible. When Twin flies up at the start of phase 3, the focus target will vanish, but when she comes back down for Divebomb, the focus target will reappear (and immediately show Divebomb's cast bar). Use the reappearance of the focus target UI to gauge when to move. This is extremely helpful for me personally on the second set of Divebombs once the snakes are in our faces.

It helps to have Twin focus targeted for Twisters anyway, which will happen in the next phase. Best of luck!

Actually, the reason the little pit near the wall works is that with enough of a elevation change, you don't get hit at all. Most of the time when people get hit, either someone moved too soon and got the mark, or someone moved late.

Yes, the elevation change is what causes her to face outside, rather than inside, making it easier to dodge. When she is facing outside, you literally only need to walk a few steps forward before moving back. It's really, really easy unless you're lagging. If someone is too far up and gets the mark, everyone is likely to get hit because her full path will now be in your safe area. (You can tell by the trail she leaves behind as she dives.)

In addition to what everyone else has said: make sure people in your group know that if they do get knocked they need to run to the side asap! A lot of groups get wiped by people trying to get back in with the rest of the group, if twin targets them she will go straight through the raid. Get them to stand off to the side, wait for the next divebomb and then move back in with the others.

Your character should appear to be a step or two ahead of the rest of your group. This is because of latency. If people wait for the rest of the group to move, it will already be too late. The divebombs must be dodged as soon as the indicator appears and beeps. Be cautious not to jump the gun early, or twintania could reposition and wipe the raid. When using the lot method, you only need to run out a few steps to dodge, then quickly get back against the wall.

The second set of divebombs will come 45 seconds after the snakes spawn. If people have trouble with this set, make this simple macro:

    /wait 40
    /p divebombs incoming <se.1>

Hit it when the adds appear, and it will go off a few seconds before the divebombs, hopefully catching your party's attention and getting them focused.

What I have seen works is marking the safe area (the area in which you bait twintania's divebomb outside the arena) in the ditch with a waymarker. The litte circle it forms is almost exactly the space you need to be in to get twintania to face outside the arena and not dive bomb you into a wall. Before the battle begins get as close to the purple line as possible and place the waymarker there making sure its really close to the line but not touching the line. It really helps with precision and with people that leave names on for some reason.
