No lock-out when changing computers anymore?

I was under the impression that, if you did not use a security token, your account would need to be authorized on that diffirent computer through the e-mail each time, however when i installed the game on my laptop and switched over from my PC, i could login just fine.

    Is this an error?

Does this only take place on switching between Console <-> PC ?

Does this not take place because of the close proximity of ip adresses?

Or am i missing something else entirely?

(And no, even the phone-based security token isnt an option for me, so i was hoping this piece of added security was still in place...)

Were you using the same internet connection?
Laptop and PC on the same LAN still normally share the same WAN-adress...

No, it only resets when you change public IP - e.g. login from different location. If you'd have 10 PC at your home or uni network with the same public IP it will not reset.

Or when your net goes down and you tether your cellphone to log in to tell people you won't be on for a bit.
