Black mage and stats.

Hey how are ya?lvl 43 mage.And I have a question for any mage out there.I was messing with my stats.and I got all my gear to help my speed.Now I notice that it does not happens all the time. In fact It tells me wen it does. I really dont like it. It happens only 1 out of like 8 spells i use and using fire 3 kills my mp so most of the time wen i does speed my spells its a support one or a weak spell like thunder 2. But as am reading about stats I remember one time hitting a 784 with a fire 3.never hit it again. Was that a critical hit?I seen we have determination and is a stat that supposedly help up all ur attacks damage. Intelligence does the same.instead of having speed I rather have 2o or more damage points all the time than speed once in a while.my question past the once I all ready asked is. Does determination and intelligence help wen they want to?Are they constantly helping? Specially determination.and has any of ya tried to stat up one stat specially?Any success? What ya think?

Well in my investigation I have found some interesting stuff. I now focus on critical hit rate intelligence and determination...most gear have critical and intelligence or determination intelligence and mind, vitality and mind plus some determination...well I been hitting 7oo plus up to 9oo and up...much more often.I try to rack up my intelligence first cuz I believe it always matter in every hit. Speed dont really matter wen i can use firestarter and swiftcast, transpost and do it all again. Normally I can hit as low as 18o and up as my first hit.but wen I have 3 astral fire plus raging strike. I hit 9oo and up. But again some armor touch on speed and what I want determination intelligence critical hit. My question is, does determination works wen it want to?..im pretty sure Critical hit does.... any other attributes I should look into?

Oh and wen is not a critical hit but I have buffs on and astral on 5oo plus
