That's funny because I don't remember typing anything about my personal opinion or my relationship in that post.
Please remember that some people understand that A) life does not revolve around them and B) things that happen in a "video game" are so absolutely insignificant that they are not worth fretting over, even if its something they personally disagree with.
A) Around what does life revolve, if not around people who are involved with it? I never suggested you meant otherwise. I pointed out the other end which you managed to neglect. If people who feel wronged stay silent, it's easily ignored. That's funny because I don't remember typing anything about my personal opinion or my relationship in that post.

B) And yet we both are in video game forums, in a thread of which whole point is stating your opinion about marriage (or, in this case, stop the hassle and drop the idea completely). If you feel like this doesn't concern you, I would suggest you let it be.
To answer your question, I don't believe life revolves around anything at all. Life is just life and it's people who attempt to give meaning to it out of an innate need to place themselves in a position of supreme importance. I was not neglecting the other end, I was simply pointing out that some people who feel wronged stay silent because they realize that in certain instances, such as in a game, its simply not worth expelling this amount of energy into something rather insignificant (and ultimately does more harm than good because it creates rifts in the community).
It is my opinion that, when it comes to real life, same-sex marriage should be legal in every country. It is also my opinion that, when it comes to this game, people shouldnt be getting as obsessive about SE's decision because it has zero effect on the real world them.
People shouldn't get upset about Housing in game. I mean it has no effect on them in the Real world. People shouldn't get upset that a class/job is completely unplayable since it doesn't effect them in the real world. People shouldn't get upset about the ingame economy it doesn't effect them in the real world. You're argument can be said for every damn thread on this board. People wanting to have same sex marriage in game is no less worthy than having balanced classes and dungeons that don't explode.
Exactly. The meaning is found in actions, and only by our actions can we try to impact the outcome. I don't find it an "innate need to be in a position of supreme importance" to try and help equality's cause. A starting point to acceptance, that straight and lgbt rights should be equal has to be somewhere, and for some people it might just as well be this game. It would be a mistake to ignore little things such as this, because as insignificant as it sounds, it contributes to something greater entirely.
An attitude like that, as noble as it sounds, is like giving up a fight before it's even begun.
Edit// I'm starting to feel like some love's messenger here. Better go find me a garland of coltsfoot and start preaching love like it was a religion.
