Is there a way to have cast automatically cancel when your target is dead?

Is there a way to have cast automatically cancel when your target is dead? Moat games have this in automatically. But my cast will continue until like .03 before it says "interrupted" because the target has died before my cast goes off.

I get that sometimes too, I don't know if there's an automatic way for it to cancel but I mostly do it manually by moving a little or pressing Esc.

No automatic way, but SE labels the jump button (whatever you have it set to) as also being a cast interrupt.

Happens a lot with my BLM too. If the target dies, I just move a little bit to cancel the cast and get a bit closer/further away from my next target.

You can step forward or jump to stop a cast, however, because the game is in a server live state and not a client side one (like most MMOs) the server takes priority. Depending on your latency after a certain point you can not stop a cast even if you move/jump/the mob dies.
