GLA the new PLD?

It would be nice if the classes had some use without the job crystals. I mean, what's the point in even having the classes go beyond level 30? Why not have the class cap at 30 and then have the jobs start at level 1 and go to level 20 but encompass everything you'd have gotten with those last 20 levels of the class anyway?

If/when they unlock new jobs for existing classes, won't everyone automatically be level 50 in those jobs, due to this odd system?

This is kinda what I fear, if they make 2nd job for classes like ACN has, we don't get to experience them through the levels because we already have them at 50, we only have to complete the job quests for abilities and artifact armor. 2-3 hours and we're done with that job, then it's just getting the raid gear for it.

On topic, I just had a PLD in brayflox, the HP was very different than the two GLAs. The GLAs had HP around 1100, same as the WHM in party, but the PLD I had in the latest party had 1700 HP, huge difference.(Could also be because of better gear)

That's definitely a gear difference, not just a job difference. The extra VIT from your job definitely helps, but a gladiator who's got the same HP as a WHM is definitely not carrying optimal gear.
