I honestly couldn't imagine doing Brey+ on my tank without the job unlocked the skills and boosts really allow me to do my job effectively tho I have seen a lot who do those on the classes, it's unreal I usually don't even step into hakkure on any class unless the job is unlocked but that's just me.

Your job crystal gives you about 5% more of your main stat. It's about as significant as pouring your bonus points into it.

That flat 5% increase far outweighs any cross skill that lasts only a couple of seconds.

A trash mob may be killed in that time, when you are in front of another pack, your cd's is up.

Had a 37 GLA the other day in Brayflox when trying to get my book done. I could maybe have lived with it if he had ever even tried to hold aggro. We didn't even clear the second trash pack. Then, when everyone was leaving, he chimed in with "I'm as awesome as my team" or some such crap. . .Yeah, fun times.

Oh man this reminds me of the Conjurer I had in Stone Vigil. He hadn't unlocked WHM, and hadn't bothered to do any class quests so he didn't have anything better than Cure 1. It was so sad.

Yes level 43 gld in stone vigil told him to go unlock pld and try again.

It would be nice if the classes had some use without the job crystals. I mean, what's the point in even having the classes go beyond level 30? Why not have the class cap at 30 and then have the jobs start at level 1 and go to level 20 but encompass everything you'd have gotten with those last 20 levels of the class anyway?

If/when they unlock new jobs for existing classes, won't everyone automatically be level 50 in those jobs, due to this odd system?

This is kinda what I fear, if they make 2nd job for classes like ACN has, we don't get to experience them through the levels because we already have them at 50, we only have to complete the job quests for abilities and artifact armor. 2-3 hours and we're done with that job, then it's just getting the raid gear for it.

On topic, I just had a PLD in brayflox, the HP was very different than the two GLAs. The GLAs had HP around 1100, same as the WHM in party, but the PLD I had in the latest party had 1700 HP, huge difference.(Could also be because of better gear)

That's definitely a gear difference, not just a job difference. The extra VIT from your job definitely helps, but a gladiator who's got the same HP as a WHM is definitely not carrying optimal gear.

That's what I'm beginning to suspect sometimes. When tank is not only unresponsive but also above 30, no job and not using flash or overpower. Ran into a couple of these, one in haukke, another in brayflox, another in sastasha.

Also that derp marauder liked to spin the dragon around, suspecting it is programmed like that to avoid dragon breath or boss aoe but it gives the healer and dps a hard time. Either that or they were trolling us pretty hard.

And the healer and dps just want to get through their roulette / dungeon and don't want to abandon. It's like they indirectly hold the party hostage.

Something needs to be done, they could be mutating.
