Good DRG's are good. No need to buff just more people need to learn how to play the job. Also we have 2 OCD stuns.

When you start your rant, please make sure you've seen all the facts and not only the ones that back up your opinion.
SE said that they will buff STDPS for BLM, yes. They also said they would look into other jobs for balancing matters. I'd wait and see what happens first. DRGs got a nice buff last big patch too and I think they're well balanced as it is now.
Just to be sure, are you asking for DRGs to be top dps, or just higher dps than Monks?
Thanks for the responses.
I suppose I've just been constantly dealing with wrong kind of people, as I didn't get to raid for a long time because of being a DRG, FC members saying it's so bad, this some months ago. And recently when I consulted some people from an FC that has beaten T9, I took it pretty seriously when they said that the only reason to bring a DRG is to boost Bard damage, which to me sounded a bit... meh...
Mount =/= Pet
FF2 as an example would simply be a reason to add a Drg-based Mount similar to the ones they added for tanks, obtained from some dragoon-based achievement.

If the FC isn't allowing you into a raid because you are a DRG, they are not worth it. DRG can do dps just as well as any other job. Join a FC that knows what they are doing.Thanks for the responses.

well it kind off is true...False. They have the highest physical defense and in return the lowest magical defense (which is far more important because most AOEs in this game deal magic dmg). Drgs are actually very squishy because of that.
m.def + p.def of caster, monk/bard, lancer armor is same so, it is second after tank gear XD
My static runs the same but, if you already have a monk, getting another drg over another monk does not increase total raid damage. In matter of fact, having 2 monks will allow 1 of the monks to do more DPS. Disembowel isn't really something that helps the static either, it's just a straight up dps gain. You might run 1 drg and 1 monk so that you can gear up better but it doesn't change the fact that 2 monks is superior to 1 drg 1 mnk especially if we're talking about total raid damage.Or if your group already has a MNK. I always think its funny how DRGs and MNKs both feel like the have to compete over 1 melee slot. My static runs DRG, MNK, BRD and SMN and there is no way in hell i would take a BLM over either MNK or DRG. I feel an optimal static would want both Disembowel and Dragons Kick on the boss, for the increased BRD dmg and decreased Mag dmg on the tank.
Damage done isn't really the only thing that bugs me, there are times when casters lose DPS for having to constantly avoid stuff, Monks lose DPS if they have to constantly run away from the target and are forced to drop GL, but they all have something else to bring on the field, Summoners having the ability to resurrect, use Eye for an Eye and Virus. Monks have Mantra and Stun (AotD, One Ilm Punch for mobs). Bards have songs and Black Mages have Apocatastasis, (Sleep for mobs). Meanwhile Dragoons only have two stuns, of which the other is often simply used for a rotation as an extra hit. Strength bonus for Light/Full groups would be one thing, but Monks provide that too.
Yet there are still people who say stuff like dragoons are more durable and therefore should deal less dmg when in reality most stuff hits them harder, or mages who claim to be glass cannons when they literally take the smallest dmg from most AOEs due to their high mag defense. It kinda gets old after a while.
How's vit on the classes in question, though? Because that also impacts the durability of a character.Yet there are still people who say stuff like dragoons are more durable and therefore should deal less dmg when in reality most stuff hits them harder, or mages who claim to be glass cannons when they literally take the smallest dmg from most AOEs due to their high mag defense.
