Dual Shock 4 controller on PC disconnects resets FFXIV.confg

Hello I've been playing with a PS4 controller over USB for quite sometime now normally there is not an issue however if I get frequent disconnects from the cable (I tend to go through micro usb cables quite quickly.) it will reset my entire confg file causing all of my buttons to be unmapped and I am unable to recalibrate. I'm not using any 3rd party drivers for my controller just native connection. (This issue does not happen if I play over bluetooth.)

The client seems to reset the alias in the FFXIV.confg file after frequent disconnects of the controller.

That only happen to me once when i walked away from the computer with the controller otherwise I played for months on PC with PS4 controller switching between wired and bluetooth and the controller dying, I don't know why you would lose connection with cord plugged in. Best I can suggest is make a copy of your config file and the replace it when it messes up if it a common thing for you.
