Disable Mouse Movement and other Keyboard functions while using Game Pad

I play using a controller, however, one thing I find cumbersome is that when I'm sitting in a chair any other standing animation like a dance and such, the mouse or keyboard will make me auto walk or move a nudge throwing me out of the animation. I use Direct Chat mode so I have no use for using the space bar to jump or using the mouse to walk.

I'd like to see the ability to toggle off keyboard functions when I'm using a Game Pad/Direct Chat mode.

I agree, sometimes when I try to chat, I end up doing another action. It's kind of cumbersome! Is there a fix for this?

if it were just an option i would agree with it, but i would not want it turned off all the time. i find myself using the mouse a bunch while using the controller as the stupid camera has a bad habit of zooming in close(not first person) and having to drag the camera back out. this is just one other aspect in which the 1.0 controller setup was vastly superior to the current version.

You should try L1 + right analogstick down to zoom out.

But yeah I agree if anything it should be an option I like to use the mouse sometimes too.

I use gamepad on my pc. While I agree sometimes it is annoying. However, I have disabled direct chat feature, because I find it even more annoying. Plus I also use different hot keys on my keyboard for various things. So disabling the keyboard would not work.

However, I can see how it could be useful for some. So if it was added, make sure it is optional feature. If you don't want to use it. Allow someone to enable it.

i have l1 disabled due to the fact that is the button i have set for voice chat so that option doesn't work. i do appreciate the offer though and trying to help. while running it's just easier to reach up and rotate the wheel due to me always playing near the computer.

it's just funny that in 1.0 i started using the kb/m combo, but once i switched over to controller i used it 100% of the time after and never thought about going back. with the current controller design i have caught myself playing with kb/m more and more as i do not like the current design at all with the hotbars.
