I should leave an otherwise promising party because one DD can't do his job? Why not replace *him* and keep the rest of the party?

Pretty much. Of course, a parser can tell you who isn't pulling their weight, but it's unlikely Gormogon will care about that.

That's the definition of harassment and elitism. You.DO.realize.that. what you said exactly why SE won't do it. Completely proving the point of the argument by your very response.

There are many many methods including breaking pt and reforming without said person. All you proved is that, is that "me first" whining that puts PFs on drama, and singling out a person to public scrutiny.

If one person isn't upto the job the PF or DF naturally breaks up. That's how it works. Not how you envision your ways to be.

That's not harassment. That's removing an incompetent member.

If you get a healer who can't heal or a tank who can't survive, what is your recommended course of action?

If I had to guess, keep the name of the 6 other competent members, fully disband the party, and reform by re-inviting those 6, then looking for another member (although if you are on PF, I don't know how you will attempt to hide from this person you were attempting to boot).

Basically, a soft kick. A roundabout way to kicking someone.

Ah yes... disband for an innocuous reason and then reform. The incompetent player is none-the-wiser.

    Literally.

    Literally.
Said player is then probably recycled back into the PF/DF system, goes into another party, drags that party down. Cycle repeats. Player never improves, nobody gets harassed, everyone is happy!

No it isn't. But your response is the definition of exaggerating.
You can take an inexperienced/poor performer, offer him help and if he's willing to learn, nearly instantly and vastly improve your entire group performance.
If he isn't willing to pull his weight, then why should the entire group suffer as a result? This would be the definition of harassment and no group should have to put up with it.

So, let me get this straight. . .

    1) Somehow get everyone except the bad DPS to agree to reform after "breaking."
    2) Make some excuse to "disband." IOW, tell a blatant lie.
    3) "Disband" the party.
    4) Re-invite everyone but the bad DPS.
    5) Put the party back into PF to replace the bad DPS.
    6) Pray that he doesn't see the party listing.
    7) Have some sort of excuse ready in case he does see the listing.
    8) If he manages to rejoin the PF, be prepared to explain this entire sordid chain of events.

Now, why would I do all of this (to include conspiring and lying) when a simple "Hey, man, your performance isn't good enough. We're going to have to replace you." would be so much simpler? Oh, and of course this doesn't work at all in Duty Finder, only in Party Finder.
