This FF14 community is literally the only one that i have seen that wants less from their developers by not wanting addon support or voip in a subscription base MMO.

Next it will be the removal of emotes because you can be a big meanie with them.
After that maybe chat text because there are a lot of people that say mean things in them.

I've seen plenty of other mmos I've tried joining that had people shooting down the idea of adding parsers because of the sort of trouble it causes. Who were then constantly insulted by the very people they were talking about as "bads" or "people who have something to hide" among other more vulgar things which just further proved their point about the trouble of parsers. Just face the facts already. You will NEVER get support for parsers from SE as long as the loud elitist pricks that abuse them continue to cause that negative stigma against parsers. They've already shown their stance about trying to avoid as much elitist drama as possible by disabling whispers in dungeons and giving 30 minute dungeon lock outs for rage quitters.

Why do people think only the top tier players use addons, this is a subscription mmo, addon support should have been included at launch. Why are people defending SE for not having addon support, it's mind boggling.

I'm not defending SE for not having add on support. I'm pointing out that the entire argument is pointless. No matter how much anyone screams or flails their arms SE will not add anything that has the slightest chance of causing lost casual subscriptions. Parsers have a negative stereotype that they're only used to abuse other players for underperforming. You can scream about how there's plenty of players that don't use them like that until you turn blue but because the loudest and most well known portion of the parser enthusiast group are the people that abuse it SE simply won't have any part of it. To them casual players are their source of money while hardcore players may as well be second class citizens. It doesn't help your case when the people that do abuse them come into the thread talking down to the people that are against parsers trying to make them look like "bads" or "people with something to hide". You can only blame the abusers for the game's lack of add-on support. SE's only doing what they think will lead to the most profits and retained subscriptions.
