And now we have to tip-toe around a FULL damage metre because people don't like being told that they are under performing? it boggles my mind.... how sensitive people are, no wonder the majority of loud mouths in duty finder think they are great when in reality they are far from it.... no evidence to put people in their places.

I think it's about HOW we're being told. Saying something like, "pop your offensive cds" is better than saying "dude, you suck as dps". This kills morale. That person may leave, now you have more downtime.
