Honestly parsers already do exist they always will and while not officially condoned its a don't ask don't tell. So those who care about that sort of thing probably already have it. That said while they can't talk about it nothing is stopping them from stepping out of the duty and removi g you with out telling you why in the case of party finder. It's not harassment to remove someone fro. Your pre made group and all you will be left doing is wondering why groups keep kicking you. I for one would rather be told why I am being removed rather than just zoning out and finding I am no longer In The party.

someone said that you have to deal with all sorts of people like in RL, when you accept this you accept that you will meet good, bad, average, some enjoy the game without asking themselves too many questions, others are just anal about it, others are perfectionists, we are all different, parsers will just give a reason to people to look down on others and believe they are invested of some godly powers that entitles them to get rid of this or that player, ust because you know they are so godly, same as I dont believe kick function should exist, same I disagree with the parsers. the idea may be good but the use that will be done wont be. Tha tool would be too adult for some to be left free for use

That's not true though - parsers can tell you all of the above.

Everyone in the theorycrafting community uses it for "that" (picking apart fight data, bit-by-bit), all the people that have confirmed or debunked possible optimal rotations and CD use times [which goes beyond just DPS and into healing and tanking]. Sure some of it can be done semi-accurately eye-balled or with manual recording, but having access to accurate information in a timely and neat format gets faster and more accurate results. And, what is the result of that knowledge? Other groups or people concerned with their performance due to any number of reasons have access to information confirming or denying what they are doing is the best they can do.

Considering all the hard DPS-Checks in the game, this tool is kind of needed. Throw in the portion of players that dont know thier rotations... It's no wonder people are complaining about not being able to beat T5 with Echo.

As far as harassment stemming from a DPS tool, some people are still going to get frustrated from not knowing whats wrong in thier raid group and get angry/harass anyway.

The only reason they want it to be forced in is so they can justify the harassment. Happens all the time.

So you are perfectly fine with being removed from any premade with no reason as to why ? Let's face it 99% of the ones who will use this are already using it because they do what needs it. In a premade where it matters it's already being watched in duty finder honestly if the group can't make it chances are over half of them will vote abandon anyway before it even matters. It's just like voice chat, SE doesn't want to add it but groups will still require it. At least you will know why you were removed and can work on improving or if someone tries to get on you you can say look at this tab or that tab I did 3 raises and 20% of the healing and did all this rather than them not telling you anything and you having to guess or them simply eyeballing what people were doing and kicking you because they think you were to low or doing something wrong.

Like I've said before I'd rather not raid at all if this is how the community is gonna be in regards to raiding especially as they try and make it more difficult. This is what broke WoW by the end of its second expansion and 2 major patches in it is already breaking the community in FFXIV ARR.

I prefer fun over stress regardless of wipes and loot.

That is nice and you can do it with a group of the same minded people.
Why does it have to be banned for everyone just because you play the way you do? Does only your way of playing counts?

Let's say they will add in a tool that lets you judge all the stats, so you get removed because you didn't do enough dps. That is exactly bad why? The chances of it happening in DF are very low and if you join a party you agree to play by their rules.
Join a party without a dps requirement if you don't want people to judge your dps. I am sure you will find enough people to do so.

That's stupid and incredibly selfish. 'OH I'D RATHER NOT RAID BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE MEAN TO ME BECAUSE MY DPS MUST BE LOW BUT INSTEAD OF FIXING IT I'M GOING TO GO WHINE ON THE FORUMS!" What in gods name is so bad with adding a DPS meter for PERSONAL use or adding a DPS meter for Coil or even PF groups? Is there something bad with that? Oh, is it because I'm SUPPOSED to play with someone who can barely get about 200 DPS in Turn 8 or something? No thanks. And PF?I'm supposed to wipe 50 billion times to DPS checks, or wipe to Titan EX because people can't dodge, or wipe to Ifrit EX because people can't do nails, or the healers don't know the fight, or in Twintania, I'm supposed to wipe 50 billion times to Conflags/Divebombs/Twisters/Dreadknights? Clearly, THAT'S how you want this game to be played. But hey, why stop there, LET'S LOWER THE DIFFICULTY OF COIL BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE STRESS BECAUSE IT TAKES MORE THAN 30 MINUTES FOR A FIGHT.

As to "people being mean" GET OVER IT AND GET BETTER. I've stopped hosting learning parties because of this crap. Before I'd tell people their DPS was too low to pass A, I'd check what skills they'd use and offer them tips. I'd see what skills the healers used, I'd check the tanks cool downs used, but you know what? Because of people LIKE YOU WHINING ABOUT IT, I had to stop because I can't 'legally' use my parser anymore. So all those people who were learning? Screwed because of people like you. You claim that it's really because of elitists abusing it? SHOW ME. I've been active in PF quite a bit, joining adorable nublet learning parties, DFing Turn 1-4, Levi EX, Titan EX, Ifrit EX, etc, etc, and I've never seen it ONCE.

Not to mention, parsers STILL actively help you people in the new fights. How do you think we know the EXACT ACCURACY CAPS for Coil now? How do you think we know the required DPS from 5 players in Turn 8? BECAUSE THESE THINGS HELP US DO THAT. If you can't figure out how to play your job (Which is a BLACK MAGE FOR GODS SAKE, Fire 3 fire fire fire OH LOOK FIRESTARTER), then maybe you should look at a game like Hello Kitty Online.
