    Most BLM's in DF/PF do bad damage, regardless of their gears. (Same is true for WHM's, loads don't even use Holy for the AoE pulls)

    Because their single target damage is low (as it should be) and the bosses would take a lot longer. We are talking about their AOE.

    The point is ALL BOSSES in the Second Coil are single target. So what's the point of having great AOE if you can't use it on raiding content?
    A class that's only great for dungeon trash pulls is stupid.

    My main is BLM and doing perfect rotations and using Aetherial Manipulation DPS gets killed with high movements fights anyway.

    I think your taking what Yoshi said out of context. Here the bottom line for running a successful business keyword being successful. Don't ever tell the customers there using the product wrong. They are happy and wanna use the product in ways not original thought of then so be it.

    Also reading your posts your very I am right everyone else is wrong. Hate to break it to you but your one person in a sea of millions. Sadly on this subject your in the minority. I personally am a main class blm we do have great aoe and we have pretty hard smashing single target DPS also. The issue is we gotta stand still to cast. This puts us at a huge disadvantage. In all fights even aoe intense fights. Guess what if I gotta move I am adding 1-2-3 secs on to my cast. Yes in movement heavy fights we are at a extremely disadvantage and need to be buffed.

    I think this post nails it. BLM should be the highest DPS in the game with the lowest armor and health pools. They should be a glass cannon capable of dishing out extreme damage but unable to take it. Monks and Drags both have higher health pulls and wear high armor gear compared to blm cloth. Why hasn't anyone brought up survivability yet? As a WHM healer and a BLM main I can say for a fact its much easier to heal a monk or a Drag then it is to heal a BLM. That should factor into DPS output. Otherwise the argument can be made that tanks should be on par with all other classes for damage output.

    BLM should be whatever the devs decide it should be.

    Bringing up survivability, melee is more likely to get hit than caster, the devs just went with "high risk - high reward", hp pools have little to do with this.

    We are the lowest dps even when standing still.

    Also regarding movement, I still say this is not the/an issue, as an experienced BLM will do near to their stationary DPS even in higher movement fights.

    How about fixing the damn elemental resistence system so fire doesn't do more dmg to ifrit than ice does?
