Why is BLM getting a buff?

MNK has AoE, average MNK is just not good enough to use it properly.

Trash is irrelevant. Boss performance is what is important and what should be balanced around, and BLM currently suffers from performance issues in a lot of top-end fights.

MNK has one ability. If you give a BLM and MNK each a group of 5 identical mobs, BLM will kill his/her group WAAAAAAAY before MNK is even close to killing his/her group. MNK mayy have one AoE ability, put BLM AoEs totally wipe the floor with MNK. Most people don't think "Gee, better get a MNK for their AoEs!"

Trash is irrelevant you say? That's strange, there are a bunch of threads about speedrunning. Speedrunning is a thing because BLM (and DRG to a lesser extent) kill a bazillion mobs at a time. If trash is irrelevant like you say, there would be no speedrun threads.

Three abilities. And yeah, BLM is a lot better at AoE, but MNK is serviceable. Trash is irrelevant to balance, because you shouldn't balance a game around burning a hard mode dungeon.

@Kittitacho: what DPS do you typically pull on Titan EX (no Echo) in a successful run, and on Twintania (no Echo)?
