Why is BLM getting a buff?

I was asking the same thing the moment I heard/read that they're to buff BLM. Why? What for? But actually... nevermind the reasons.

People not playing stuff as intended. Being lazy in their methods and figuring out alternate ways to achieve things. Ok then. Where did the devs release their official "how to play?" guide? Where's SE's book explaining the classes and the major dungeons and everything, as intended? Honestly, I thought this "know everything" attitude is only present in the PF, but apparently that's how they think as well?

I'm not lazy to learn. I don't mind putting in the time and effort. But what's with just expecting me (really, anyone at all) to just, like, innately know everything and in the right way too? Sorry, but that just doesn't make sense to me. Explain and teach first, then you can have expectations.

I too play almost all jobs but I agree BLM needs a buff. Yes in cases like brayflox BLM shine, but it's the people who decided we need to pull 5 groups of mobs and aoe them as fast as you can before the tank dies that cause this to be a blm fight. But whats not fair is when you know you play your job right or the BLM is playing it right and the SMN blows everyone out of the water. A -good- monk or drg wil also blow dps out of the water and Bards versiatility with blms stop and go can make BLM the lowest DPS quite frequently. All im saying is the monk and DRG buff imo of playing them made them feel very on par to what they should be. SMN dot's with pet can also produce incredibly high numbers. Bard has so much range and agility to fights they can come up to be a incredible dps even while using songs. But usually, weather im the BLM or someone else is, BLM only shines in AoE fights. It is behind the other jobs in this case (imo) unless theres a great deal of aoe. All I would like to see is a BLM to be on par with smn really... Not OP, not crazy but the low defense and casting restrictions should have magic spells hitting harder. The problem is balancing is always tricky and usually a buff/nerf can go too far. All BLM needs is a -small- buff.

I wouldn't mind if they tuned down our AOE dmg for buffing our ST dmg.

Even if Yoshida and the development team had a certain play style in mind for each class/job, you can never compensate up front for the innate human ability to change something to suit its needs. Therefore adapt or die. I am certain triple even quad flares were never intended but hey someone figured out how to squeeze out every last ounce of dps a Black Mage could muster from the skill. Does that mean they are a bad player? No. They are inventive. Most likely they found themselves in a situation that called for it and thought hey I can do it this way and get better results! Necessity is the mother of invention.

i keep hearing people say we are not playing the classes as intended , but what does this mean. What things would be happening specifically , and what "lazy" things would we not be seeing.

When I head this, I fear it means the game would be more boring.

i think you are all overreacting, right after yoshi talked about the blm buff, he also said that the other dps will be getting the same dps boost

as for not playing your job right... blm is probably tied for 1st place with brd as the simplest job to play in the game lol its not hard to nuke nuke nuke move nuke nuke nuke refill mp nuke nuke move nuke nuke, so accussing everyone of not knowing how to play blm is pretty dumb

he said, that they will attune other classes aswell, which doesn't necessarily mean to buff them, could also be nerfs.
