Who are we?

We are an LGBT "safe-space" Free Company. This does not mean you have to be gay to apply--it means you have to check your prejudice (if you have any) at the door if you apply. We're trying to make a safer, more enjoyable gaming experience for everyone. Members of Unity FC will be expected to be polite and kind with their fellow members, to respect their gender identities (using correct pronouns and so forth) and sexual orientation.

Unity is not a roleplaying Free Company, but we are extremely RP-friendly. The leader and moderators all are enthusiastic RPers, but we wanted Unity to serve a different purpose besides roleplay. Unity is primarily a guild dedicated to clearing PvE content, from the middle game all the way through into the endgame. Our goals are simple: help each other, combine our strengths and cover each other's weaknesses in order to make it through the deadly challenges that await us.

Unity is looking for players with an eye toward the endgame, with a burning desire to clear the content Squeenix has so graciously bequeathed to us. We don't play the "hardcore vs. casual" game here; some of us are older, with more busy lives and we just don't have the same amount of time to play that we did when we were teenagers. Unity accepts all, both those who play ten or so hours a week and those who play ten hours a day. What's important is that you are helpful, compassionate, and with a strong cooperative spirit.

Unity's Raid Teams

Currently, Unity runs three "raid" groups - statics of 8 or more people who meet regularly every week to clear whatever challenge they've set their hearts to at the time. They are as follows:

Astral: Tues/Thurs/Sun 6:30-9:30 pm PST
Umbral: Tues/Thurs 4:30-6:30 pm PST
Aether: Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30-10:30 pm PST

Recruitment Needs

In addition to always accepting members on a social basis, Unity is looking to recruit a few particular types of folk to bolster the rosters of its 3 static groups.

Astral:

1 tank
all ur summoners (not really... or really?)


*Unity likes to run with an overpopulated roster in our statics, so that we can better accommodate members when they aren't feeling well, get overly busy, or just generally want a break. For this reason, members are routinely rotated to ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to experience content and get the shiny loots they want.

Wow, after watching your video, I really would like to be apart of something like this. Really good work on the video. I recently got back in the game after taking a break. And am currently on Balmung, but thought of transferring, I hope that I can be apart of your group. I have raid experience, but honestly, just getting back in the game and making friends is really what it is all about.
