this two together make it look weird, i means, if it's hard for ask an ilevel 90 player (or group) for do it, why do we get stuff buy with mytho (i90). i means, what will be the point to do this hunt for?

it's nice to add content outside raid, but why don't it deserve a better reward since it ask i90 player for finish the harder tier?
anyway, outside this small trouble i'm excited about it and you?

I'm guessing the level of difficulty will basically go from the level 50 solo treasure hunts to beyond the level 50 group treasure hunts. I don't imagine too many people will want mythology gear since there seem to be exclusive things to buy, but whatever.

I guess it's just an alternative to myth spending. If someone wants to gear alt jobs or still needs their myth for books, they can use marks instead. Depends on what the mark-exclusive items are though.

It's kind of like the "pink" armor you occasionally get from treasure maps. As treasure maps can be easily downed by people in perhaps a position to actually want the "pink" gear, for these new hunts, i90 myth gear are the new "pinks".

I just hope you can turn them in for company seals by then or something, cause they aren't very desirable... even to people that currently don't have all myth gear, there will be the new CT2 to farm anyway...

Well with new CT coming I'd imagine its a way to retire them from being bought for tomes, but yeah I see your point , seems off saying some soloable by an Ilvl 90 with rewards being same levels.
I will wait and see, I love doing maps still and have never done it for gear drops so if hunts are similar no doubt I will do them too

I believe it's an alternative option to gear your alt classes while completeing Animus books, so you can progress while saving thousand of myths.

"unique items that can only be obtained through hunts", we don't know which items. And alexandrites aswell, which we will need to upgrade Animus to Novus. The answer was in your own quote post.

i prefer be the devil's advocate on this one... i think this unique item will be mostly minion or mount, like for the venture... so far all the progression is behind raid. i was hoping for the hunt to be an alternate progression, let's hope i'm wrong and they will offer decent reward, but i highly doubt it sadly.

don't bring me on the atma/animus/novus stuff. it's one of the most long content of the game and it give stuff very often far less good than any raid drop and i doubt novus will change this.

anyway, the "hunt" is clearly something a la monster hunter in a way, it was possible to make something more interesting and deep... let's hope i'm wrong, but i don't have the feeling that will be the case.
from what i have understand of them goal for the game is can be see like this craft/treasure hunt/pvp/chocobo< raid it's them priority, actually they take the safe road to put everything important into raid. indeed we can argue that in a couple of month the relic will potentially be the best weapon ingame, but our stuff don't only have a weapon. we can have the best weapon of the world, if we wear bad armor and jewel it's lost.

add more hard content that are not raid oriented with decent reward for the work behind is needed actually!

The way I read that is he said an ilevel 90 can solo but he didn't mention the ilevel of the group meaning people geared under ilevel 90 can group up. Which in that case ilevel 90 gear is a good reward.
