Client frequently crashes now after May 24 maintenance.

"An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.(2)(17)"

This is the error report that pops up every time the client crashes. Before the Maintenance I was able to log into the game and get on fairly smoothly. Sometimes the game would crash from lag or other reasons (2002), but it never did this.

I log in, press "Play", the client opens and loads to the main menu, I press "start", choose my character, log in, goes to loading screen where it will crash most of the time.

Sometimes the crash occurs in the character selection screen. Sometimes I will get in the game but have it not loaded completely, then crash.

I tried changing from Borderless Windowed to Fullscreen and that makes it crash too.

What is going on? Why is this happening? It seems like the Maintenance made things worse for me.

I believe the issue may be related to how things are loaded in the game. Whenever I teleport or zone in to a new area, crashing is likely. I am currently able to get in the game but it will crash after minutes of being on. I am currently trying to do something that would cause little loading so I am leveling a low level craft and it will still randomly crash after minutes of being on. If I turn in a quest that has a cutscene, it'll crash. I think the longest it has gone without crashing is maybe 10 minutes. Again, I think this has to do with a problem loading though I could be wrong. I tried changing the graphics settings and that has made no difference. If the music cuts out, it is a good sign that it will crash in a few seconds.

I think reinstalling may fix the issue but I REALLY would like to avoid doing that. It takes days for me to download the client because the download speed freezes and I have to close the program and reopen it, only to have it download another 30mb before it freezes and needs to be closed and reopened again. It was a huge pain downloading it once. I don't want to have to do it again, especially any time there is maintenance.

I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
