dungeons for crafters and harvesters would be pretty awsome lol, create a battle an craft system that works like bst but u crafting too. woooot.
I would like to see some vision about it - you know? Like if they even said "we are looking at creating more variety in the gameplay of DoL classes and adding more leves for them post patch 1.21" that would satisfy me.
It just the total lack of acknowledgement that these classes need improvement and the players that want to play them deserve to GET improvement that bothers me.
I know that DoH and DoL will never be as involved as DoW and DoM but, they don't have to be as tedious as they are. I understand that they will always be more limited than combat classes - but they are in the game and there are some players LIKE ME that really want to be fisher-cook-alchemists - and I don't see why we should be treated like we don't matter.
I am not asking for a lot here, just some acknowledgement that there are players who want to play these classes and they deserve some love too.

What lack of acknowledgement? Patch 1.19 is largely comprised of changes for crafters and gatherers. Recipe reworking and materia system being the biggest ones announced so far.
changing recipes? So I can spam standard the same way with different ingredients? WOO HOO.
I especially love "dark matter" - lets make crafting even more generic! That's not a change for crafters- that is a change for whiny DoW/DoM that couldn't get repairs cause they were offering a reward of 100 gil for an item that took an iron plate.
Increased gathering SP on the same 2 leves that have been in the game since day 1. WOO HOO.
I'm talking about actual additions and changes to gathering classes, not giving them an exp boost (on the same 2 leves we've been doing for months) that will probably STILL see them make a quarter of the exp on a similar level leve as a DoW/DoM.

jw, is the party adjustments aka: everything from xp chain bonus to adjustment of mobs and spawns this update or later? Its going to be a bit odd if its not til later, im not big on soloing so it would be nice to have somthing else to get me to those raid levels.

I love how you completely ignored the one big change that will alter the roles of crafters and gatherers, the materia system.

I defeated 3 Garlean Soldiers as an Alchemist and I think it wouldn't have been as much fun if I had a combat class and simply smashed their faces in.

It's pretty much the same with everyone actually. Trying to fight them normally would be pretty foolish >.>I defeated 3 Garlean Soldiers as an Alchemist and I think it wouldn't have been as much fun if I had a combat class and simply smashed their faces in.
