Out of the box, DropBox it doesn’t work with the Image tag directly. The reason why is that the Link you get from DropBox refers to a page where the photo has been embedded into.

You will have to dive into the code of the page in order to get the direct URL of the image. Like so:



However, i remember something like not being able to use this method because the link directly to the image was only available for a certain amount of time (or something like that). Therefor, i’m using IMGUR instead.

After uploading an image on your IMGUR account, you will get a few links to the photo. If you get the “BBCode” version, you can copy and paste it directly in your forum post.

Well, it is possible Donarudo, like i’ve shown in my previous post.

Edit: ah, here we go. If you link directly to an Dropbox image, it will only be visible for a few hours.

It’s just that sharing through certain website like Dropbox and Google Docs “wrap/embed” the picture into a webpage before showing it to the user. That way, they can provide more features then just showing the picture.

You just need to “dig a little deeper”. (^_~ )

Personally, i prefer to use IMGUR due to the easy with which you can upload a picture, get the BBCode/Forum Image tag and being able to use it in your forum post immediately.
