not to mention that some might have their FC housing invested too much. lolIf they hadn't split Masamune and Tonberry apart in the duty finder and then kept locking content out of the duty finder it probably wouldn't of been so bad pugging and English party. But sadly, it's probably only going to get worse for you on Masamune. There's a fairly steady stream of people transferring from Masamune to Tonberry to enjoy a much more English tolerant server. Sure it's expensive and a complete pain when trying to transfer with a decent amount of gil (particularly when your entire FC ups and moves all at once) but it's so much nicer being able to instantly get a party then to deal with the increasingly hostile population back on Masamune.
If $18 is an issue then wow. That is cheaper than most MMO's I've seen.

The problem OP is you are on a JP server not a legacy server. On Sargatanas there is nothing but English groups in party finder like 30+ at prime time, and English speakers in duty finder. It makes sense that JP players want to play with people who can speak their language in a game where communication is important. A lot of people have a hard time when everyone speaks the same language.

Based on what I saw from day one in FFXI and have continued to see and hear in XIV, I have to disagree with this. Don't get me wrong, I've played with lots of non-xenophobic JPs and was even part of a JP LS for a while in XI despite not speaking a lick of Japanese myself, but the root of the JP only problem isn't a matter of language it's a matter of race. This is why you see "JP ONLY" on even the simplest fights with no communication whatsoever. In contrast, I have not once, in over a decade since FFXI was released, ever seen an "ENGLISH ONLY" group and I have never seen a JP booted from a party for not speaking any English. The problem OP is you are on a JP server not a legacy server. Not having any experience on Masamune, and thus no experience with the problem at hand, I'd really be careful with throwing the race card around. Not wanting to play with someone, regardless of the reason, isn't the same thing as actively engaging in crimes against/denying legal rights to someone based on reasons of race or ethnicity. They're saying they'd rather not play with you, not to go kill yourself for being _insert ethnicity here_.
I could easily say I don't want to play with non-English speaking or non-Spanish speaking players for reasons of ease of communication, rather than anything else. There was a post earlier in the thread that could have approximated a racist attack in the whole "Japanese people only" message in the party finder, but even that is suspect. Not saying JP players are any better or worse, but I think we can all admit to ourselves that the NA community DOES a reputation for having a high incidence of entitled assholes as well. Maybe Japanese players don't want to deal with people who are potentially "full of themselves" or whatever other reason and would rather stick with their own. Maybe there are other player communities in the French and German communities that feel the same way
That's just my initial perspective and possibly far from the reality, so take it with a grain of salt. That said, I really can't think of anything the OP can do outside of what several posters have already said. Report 'em, and while many think otherwise, SE DOES take valid(keyword) concerns seriously, or worse case scenario, bounce from the server. Sorry to hear about that. The game's community is toxic enough without this sort of thing happening.

lol... mommy & daddy... lucky for u who still has them around.![]()
On Balmung, there is not much of an issue here with that kind of issues, however, there is a sense of bad attitudes in PFs regardless of language barriers Probably because I am on a NA data center. My FC has German, French and Chinese players whom play without much issue as they can speak and understand English.
I think we should be glad that there is an option for server transfers. I was on Rabanastre in 1.0 where I was force to merged with two other servers, eventually becoming...I guess Masamune. I left and made a new character.
I do not feel it is right that transfers were highly requested, then when it is finally implemented; there are complaints that the pricing is too high for some.
I think the pricing is more than fair, and I agree, I've never ran into this issue on Balmung either, my only qualm is the notion that just cuz someone doesn't want to throw down the money, that they're some jobless loser that lives off their parents, that's allOn Balmung, there is not much of an issue here with that kind of issues, however, there is a sense of bad attitudes in PFs regardless of language barriers Probably because I am on a NA data center. I originally left Balmung because of the ping issue to go to Masamune(I live in Asia.) Now for another transfer to get away from this shitty situation. On Balmung, there is not much of an issue here with that kind of issues, however, there is a sense of bad attitudes in PFs regardless of language barriers Probably because I am on a NA data center.
