    Best leveling method?

    Hey guys,

I quitted with Patch 2.1 and wondering whats the best way to level your twink now. Back in 2.0/2.1 it was FATE grinding. I came to Aleport yesterday and there were NO ONE! Before I quitted there were a lot of players grinding the FATEs.
Is there a better method now? If yes, which one?

    Thanks in advance.

They have significantly boosted the xp you can earn via dungeons. You now have the option to do the Daily Roulette through Duty Finder, once per day you obtain extra xp by queuing through it. Both Dungeons and Guild Hests are affected by this change, so it is a good idea while fate grinding to do the daily roulette at least once per cool down period. Even after reaching 50, this is a good source of bonus Gil and Tomes used to buy high level gear.

Also they implemented a weekly event log, similar to your Hunting Log...called Challenge Log. It has various goals you can use to earn xp, all while doing things you normally do anyway by playing.(ie..complete 5 unique fates in unique zones, complete 3 dungeons via duty roulette)
    Log Unlock: Challenge Log
Pre-Requirements: Level 15 & must first complete “Call of the Sea”
Entry Quest: Rising to the Challenge
    Quest NPC: I’tolwann
    Location: Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks – X:11 Y: 10

Combine all this with some fates, and beast man dailies and you will flying up the leveling track.
    Good luck and welcome back!

I tend to do a combination of FATEs, leves, guildhests, and hunting-log farming, but I've seen a decent amount of people hanging around Aleport doing FATEs.

Personally, I used the side quests much more than fates for my first to lvl 50.
Post level 50, and after DR was added I would do some dungeons. At least for the daily bonus.
I would also grab a fate here and there as well as some leves.

I really tried not to make it a grind and for me it worked. ^^

Yeah it's balanced now to make everything viable so keep queuing for dungeons while doing fates, hunting log, challenge log and leves to fill in the gaps. Low level roulette and guildhest roulette once per 24 hours. Each individual guildhest gives an extra bonus the first time you do it that week. And of course get rested bonus and food bonus.

I'd rather have 10 minutes of wonderful, than a lifetime of nothing special.

One other thing that gives a nice bonus to exp is filling out your map. Added bonus is that you get to explore the world while you do so. ^^
However, that is a one time thing as you can only fill out the map once.

I've been trying to level up several classes/jobs at once.

I finish off my daily roulettes on a level 50 characters for the tomes.
Then I decide what I want to do.
If I want to primarily run dungeons for XP I queue as one of the tank or healer classes. Those are pretty much chain instance pops and you barely have time to repair and get a drink between runs.
If I want to work on hand or land classes I queue as one of the DPS classes and then work on trades kills or gathering while I wait. Obviously those queues are a lot longer so I get a break from tradeskills once every 30 minutes or so.
