I've decided to stop playing FF. There's a bit too much about it that either irritated me or just leaves me going 'meh' at best. It's quite pretty, but it's confusing and fiddly and the story doesn't grab me. I also get no real sense of epicness from my character's journey, what with all the squirrels and toads and whatnot I have to fight, and the demeaning fetch quests don't help either. And finally, I'm afraid I really like an involved community in an MMO, both ingame and on the forums. In game, chat is largely silent, and although I get invites to FCs every now and then, when I accept, I find they have like 6 members, which isn't enough. And being locked out of the other forums is really annoying. I and a friend have started playing Neverwinter, and we're finding it refreshingly fun (and I usually loathe action combat mechanics in MMORPGs, so it's a surprise to me that I'm likingit!).
However, I'd like to say thanks to the posters here in the New player forum for the patience, good humour, and advice you've shown me, and i sincerely wish you the very best for your game and your characters. Disliking a game doesn't mean I wish it didn't exist, and I hope your servers run and run. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be back
Good hunting, adventurers!![]()
