What's up guys. I was thinking of an endgame content that would please me and I came up with this.
I am tired of the repetitiveness of fates, hunts and dungeons. Yes, this can be repetitive as well but at least it's a semi open area that you can play at your pace without a set timer.
Remember that it's all subjective and it's a rough design that took me 1hr to do. Pay me and let me do that 8hrs a day and I will come up with something bigger, better and more thought out.
I would love to have something similar in XIV since Final Fantasy is my #1 franchise.

First level of five.

The first level is set for 2 players. The second for 4 the third for 6 and the fourth and fifth for 8.
Of course the gear and loot gets better the further you are.
Random treasure chest pop. Some require a key that can drop from Elite and Boss.
Each level is designed to take 1-2hr aprox. Once a level is cleared, it gets saved so the next time you go in you can choose which area to enter.
This would reset every week so you can chime in for another round of bosses.
Chocobo's would be allowed and possibly a quest for extra exp.
Mining/Harvesting/Fishing nodes for extra/rare loot.
Very small percentage that any monster/boss can drop an Atma (Relic Item ??? 3.x).
Monsters and "Elite" re-spawn every 30 minutes.
Some monsters are static, some roaming.
Upon death, re-spawn at entrance which makes up for careful and tactical approach in fights. (Moster do re-spawn)
Once a level is complete, you can change area or restart the previous one.
Treasure chests can have anything, from gear to mats. From potions to food. Even Gil !
After clearing the area's "big boss", a pathway/portal opens up and players can proceed to the next level.
