Producer's live letter

I'd use petition but people tend to get upset with that word so I'm just going to come out and ask personally.

Could you please give Reinheart permission to live translate the producers letter? I know the questions are translated almost immediately but doing it that way looses some of the fun involved in the letter.

The way things are now, there's no point for anyone who doesn't speak Japanese to even watch it. Which means we miss out on the fun interactions between the developers. And if we try to watch it, the letter just ends up becoming a mess of gibberish with laughter, punctuated with video/pictures we have no context for. Occasionally we'll hear something in English but for the most part the letter is incomprehensible.

It also seems as if you've given up subtitling the video afterwards or it gets subbed 6 months later and no one cares anymore.

I don't know about other people or even other countries but I enjoy watching/understanding the hijinks that occur during the letters. So please consider a more in depth live translation or try to get subtitled versions out a little faster.

I agree. hope that if reinheart cant, that someone can pick up his mantle. I have never missed a letter and thx to reinheart they have been quite pleasurable.

Agreed. I'm not even going to bother waking up at 4 am for it since Reinhart can't translate this one. I'll just get the cliffnotes afterward.

There have been times where Rienhart seems to have been given permission to translate the Live Letters (live) on twitch. I know he for the most part takes it upon himself to do this service. But I could have swore there was at least one time or so where it seemed like Foxclon was aware of Rienhart's translation assistance as he was doing it.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, I dunno anymore. u.u;

SE doesn't really care about players outside of Japan. This much has been obvious for a long time.

Considering we outnumber the JP playerbase, I dunno about that. That's a lot of money to lose if all non-JP players quit the game.

Hrm if it was being live translated I may of stayed up till 7am(EST), kind of surprising there isn't a live translation.

I'mm happy for the guy because he's wanted to work for SE for a long time and he finally got to achieve his dream. That said I really hope his new bosses understand what an ambassador he was to the west for their game a region which SE likes to almost ignore. Hope they take advantage of the reputation he's earned himself and further and more often reach out to us. My biggest hope is that in his new job he'll be assigned to do proper live translations with the appropriate tools, scripts, and briefings. If they won't let him do they I at least hope they'll have him do subtitles and release them while they're still relevant. It would be such a waste imo for SE not to use such an awesome guy to connect with our audience.
