WHAT? Suggestion, Use writing 101 rules here. If your gonna uses Acronyms, define them.
Not everybody knows what your talking about. Hard to have a discussion like that.
I was kinda expect WoW to attempt this with their new "RTS in MMO" approach that they want to try and take.
I also see a lot of fire and brimestone arising from the idea.
Honestly, it sounds more like a PvP campaign type idea rather then a MOBA. It's not really a MOBA unless you have the ability to buy items and gain abilities as you progress through the battle. Both options are rather hard to implement within an MMO.
Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.
MOBA = Multiplayer Online Battle Arena for those who don't know. I didn't even know what a MOBA was until a couple months ago haha.
To expand on this I could see it being fun. Imagine something like this
Fighter=Attack, Strong Attack, Defend, Mighty Strikes
Thief=Stab, Backstab, Flee, Perfect Dodge
Red Mage=Dia, Bio, Regen, Paralyze
Black Mage=Fire, Ice, Thunder, Flare
White Mage=Cure, Banish, Esuna, Holy
Basically 3 basic moves you learn as the fight progresses and then 1 ultimate move for each "job". You pick which job to play as and since the ability list is limited to 4 it would be easy to create a moba style gameplay incorporating a wide variety of FF jobs without having to think to much in balance of every ability.
The minions could be moogles/chocobos and if there were jungles it could be generic FF mobs with a malboro and Bahamut sub bosses for extra boost of power in later game.
The main objective of the game would be to destroy the crystal towers that lead to the mother crystal on each side and like DOTA or LoL that would be the way to win, destroying the other sides mother crystal.
Equipment would be easy to implement, FF loot, ff potions, ether, and maybe even phoenix downs.
Honestly if they did consider making a moba style like pvp within the game I could see it working as a rather engaging pvp experience.
They could even add "named" characters later on with their own set of unique abilities that you could earn through the golden saucer or even have specific items which you unlock through content and the golden saucer.
Since we're riding the 'popular competitive game based on a existing franchise' train, I'd rather they added some sort of expanded card game, like a cross between hearthstone and FF8/9. It'd be like the duels in WoW, but with trading cards. And it would be amazing.
I like that!! minions lOL <3 more ideas
if u think of it , it will be fun coz FF world is too big now can make a big MOBA style
Some heros got more than 4 including their special ultimate move + team Limit break !
i would like a mini FFT in ff14 (not actually FFT it' just an example) as a time passer start out with just a few jobs let us lvl them get gear mess around and if the game gets really popular they can make it biggeri think that would be fun
I don't like the idea of MOBA style FF as Final fantasy has always been more about turn based strategy and less about fast paced reaction based combat. What I would like to see is a fire emblem style combat that prioritizes strategy instead of "hit the first thing that moves".
